Disciple of Prayer
My ### has surgery tomorrow morning. Please pray that everything goes well and there are no complications; he's an elderly, sick man. Thanks!

We are joining you in prayer for your loved one as he faces surgery tomorrow morning and we understand your concern for him as an elderly and sick man. We are bringing him before the Lord together and asking for God's mercy and protection over him.

We take comfort in knowing that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. He promises Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We also cling to His promise that I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.

We pray together for him now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear elderly man to You as he prepares for surgery in the morning. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and the entire medical team, grant them wisdom and skill, and let everything go well with no complications. We ask that You would protect his body, give him strength, ease any fear or pain, and bring him through the procedure safely. We pray for Your healing power to rest upon him and for Your peace to comfort him and his family as they wait. We pray that You would be his refuge and that he would feel Your presence very near. We ask all of this according to Your perfect will in Jesus name, amen.

We also want to gently share something important with you. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to encourage you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him and to come to the Father through His name.

We will continue to keep your loved one in our prayers for a safe surgery and a smooth recovery. May the Lord grant you peace as you entrust him into His caring hands, and may you feel the comfort of the prayer of faith which will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.

We are praying with you tonight as you wait for tomorrow morning.

It is hard to watch someone you love who is already elderly and unwell face surgery. The hours before can feel long, and we want you to know you are not carrying this alone. We are asking God to be near to both of you, to give skill and steadiness to the surgical team, and to grant mercy and peace through the procedure and recovery.

If it helps in these next hours, a couple of simple things can ease some of the pressure. Have one trusted person ready to be the point of contact for updates from the staff so you can stay close and not have to repeat information. Bring a small notepad to write down what the doctors say afterward, it is easy to miss details when you are tired and worried. And tonight, try to rest as you are able and let someone stay with you.

We continue to hold your loved one before the Lord, trusting Him with what we cannot control.

Father, we lift this dear man to You as he goes into surgery tomorrow. We ask for Your hand over the surgeons and nurses, for safety and for no complications, and for Your comfort over the family who loves him. Give them peace tonight and strength for tomorrow, and guide each step of his care. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We have received your request and we join you in bringing your loved one before the throne of grace tonight.

We are mindful that he is elderly and sick, and that such an hour brings care and fear to those who love him. Yet we remember the word of the Lord, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not distant but present, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when sorrows surge round and when death shadows us and ours, for Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers. There is one great Physician who lays His hands on men and they are restored, and there is but one, and the very leaves of that tree of life are for healing. With His stripes we are healed, and He is able still to heal both soul and body according to His wise and merciful will.

Let us pray together for him. Our Father in heaven, we commit this dear one to Your tender care as he is brought to surgery in the morning. We ask that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and all who attend him, that You would preserve him from complications and grant a favorable outcome. Spread Your healing virtue over him, sustain his frail frame, and let Your presence be his comfort and his peace. We ask that You would keep his heart stayed upon Christ, and keep his loved ones also in that same perfect peace while they wait. Above all, we pray that through this trial he and his family may know that to be at one with God through Jesus Christ is the foundation of all peace, and may trust wholly in the atonement made at Calvary. We leave him in Your hands, which are both able to heal and willing to save, and we ask all in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

We will continue to remember him before the Lord. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and rest in this, that whether in life or in death, those who trust in Christ are safe in Jesus keeping.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer for your loved one as he goes into surgery tomorrow morning.

We ask our merciful Father to lay His healing hand upon this elderly and sick man, to keep him safe through the operation and to grant that it may be completed without complication. We pray for wisdom and steadiness for the surgeons and all who will care for him, and for His peace to rule in your hearts and in his heart during this anxious time.

The Scriptures call this peace a great gift, the peace which Christ Himself gives and which remains firm when all else is shaken. May the Lord grant that peace to you and to your family now, and may He show Himself as the true Physician who heals both soul and body.

We will continue to remember him before the Lord, trusting in the compassion of Christ who does not despise the little ones and whose care does not fail. May the Lord grant him recovery and strength, according to His good will, and comfort you with the assurance of His presence.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we commend this dear one to Your care. Guard him, sustain him, and bring him through this surgery safely. Let Your will be done and let Your peace be upon all who love him. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this request. We are praying for your loved one as he goes into surgery, and for you and your family as you wait and trust the Lord through it.

We believe very strongly that God is able to heal, and that all healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes with a touch and sometimes with a word, sometimes through the natural processes He has placed within our bodies. Those natural processes are no less divine, because He is the one who created nature and the healing processes within it. He is not confined to one pattern, and His power is shown over the physical realm as well as the spiritual. Scripture tells us that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, fulfilling what Isaiah prophesied, and He went about healing every sickness and disease among the people.

At the same time, there is much about healing we do not understand. We do not know why some are healed and others are not, and it is wrong to say that when someone is not healed it must be because of sin or a lack of faith. The apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh, and God did not remove it. To presume that God wills physical healing in every case is not scriptural. What we do know is that God is compassionate, He hears our prayers, and He works for our good according to His wise and loving will.

So we are bringing this surgery before the Lord and asking for His mercy and help. We pray that He will guide the hands of the surgeons and the medical team, that there will be no complications, and that the procedure will go well. We pray for a smooth and complete recovery, whether that comes quickly or through the gradual healing process God has designed. We also pray for healing in every sense, for peace in mind and heart and for strength to replace fear and weariness. May the Lord give you all His peace that passes understanding and draw you close to Jesus through this time, trusting His care for this dear elderly man whom you love.
