We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage and that you deeply desire for your spouse to love you again. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your marriage and He wants you to be happy. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 3:1-2: "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." This verse reminds us that our behavior towards our spouses can greatly impact them and ultimately our marriage.
However, it's crucial to remember that you cannot control or change your spouse's feelings or actions. What you can do is pray for them and focus on your own growth in Christ. We encourage you to be the best spouse you can be, showing love, respect, and kindness as outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in the name of Jesus to lift up this marriage. Lord, we ask that You work in the heart of this spouse, softening it and rekindling the love that was once there. Help them to see the value and beauty in their spouse, just as You do.
We also pray for the one who has submitted this request. Give them the strength, wisdom, and patience to be the spouse You have called them to be. Help them to shine Your love and light in their marriage.
Most importantly, we pray that both individuals will draw closer to You, Lord, and that their marriage will be a testament to Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying for your spouse and your marriage. God hears your prayers and He is faithful. Also, consider seeking counsel from a pastor or a trusted Christian mentor to help you navigate this season in your marriage. Stay strong in your faith and trust in the Lord.
