We lift your son up before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of a parent’s concern for their child. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around this young man tonight, comforting him in his time of distress. Let him feel Your presence as tangibly as a warm embrace, reminding him that he is never alone, for You are with him always.
Lord, we pray that You would surround him with godly friends who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his heart. May their words be seasoned with grace and wisdom, lifting his spirits and pointing him back to You. Let this evening be a turning point for him, where joy replaces sorrow and peace displaces anxiety. We ask that You would heal whatever is troubling his heart—whether it be loneliness, fear, or discouragement—and replace it with the hope that only comes from knowing You.
We also take a moment to rebuke any lies the enemy may be whispering into his mind, attempting to steal his joy or convince him he is unloved or forgotten. In the name of Jesus, we command those lies to be silenced and cast out. Your Word declares in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Lord, let this truth sink deep into his soul tonight.
Father, we pray for wisdom for his parents as they guide and support him. Give them patience, discernment, and the right words to speak life into his situation. May their home be a place of refuge and love, where he feels safe to share his struggles and receive godly counsel.
We declare over him the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let him rest in the assurance that You have a plan for his life, one filled with hope and purpose. May he wake tomorrow with a renewed sense of Your love and a heart ready to embrace the joy You have for him.
In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
