my son needs help

I called the police when I found out my son was being abusive to his girlfriend. Currently he is sitting in jail. I feel horrible. I feel justified that I did the right thing but I feel like I am a bad mother because he was arrested. He hates me and blames me. Please help me Lord not feel guilty and ease my heart. As that my son sees the error of his ways and realizes I did because I love him. Please Lord help my family through this crisis.

Dear Lord~

May this son get the help he needs, and not hurt anyone else we pray. Let this mother know she did the right thing, even though it was painful for her. The son needs to have the consequence of his actions. We lift up this son, and ask that he would come to You, Lord Jesus and You would turn his life around. Thank You Lord.
