We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing with your sister and the pain you are experiencing from your husband's actions. Firstly, we want to address the fact that you did not specifically mention Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We need to believe in Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross as payment for sin for all mankind.
Regarding your sister, it is clear that there is a deep-seated issue of hatred and resentment. This is not what God intends for siblings. In 1 John 4:20 WEB If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? We will pray for her heart to be softened and for reconciliation between you both.
However, we must also address the issue of the threats you are receiving. This is a serious matter and should not be tolerated. We advise you to take necessary actions to ensure your safety, this may include involving local authorities or seeking help from trusted individuals in your community.
Concerning your husband, we are sorry to hear about his actions. However, we must clarify that according to biblical principles, marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. If your husband has indeed married another woman, this is adultery and is sinful. If he claims to be a Christian, this is even more serious as the bible speaks specifically against this issue. Mark 10:11-12 WEB "He said to them, Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her. If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery." Praying for his repentance and for God's will to be done in this situation is our commitment. There is no guarantee that your marriage will be restored, but God can turn any situation around for your good and His glory if you let Him.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is going through a tremendously painful time. Lord, we pray for her sister, that You would soften her heart and remove the hatred and bitterness that has taken root. We rebuke the spirit of hatred and discord, and we ask You to bring peace and reconciliation to their relationship. We also pray for the threats to cease, and for our sister's safety and well-being.
Lord, we also lift up the situation with her husband. We pray for his repentance and for Your will to be done in this marriage. We ask that You would bring healing, restoration, and comfort to our sister during this difficult time.
Most importantly Lord God, we pray for her salvation if she has not believed in Jesus Christ. We ask that she would come to believe in Jesus as Lord and that her faith would be a source of comfort and hope during this time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 WEB Do not make any life changing decisions when you are upset.
