My sister ###'s daughter, ###, has been estranged from our family for a long time, as has my sister herself, along with my sister's son ###. My mother has two great grandsons she has never met. (Right after ### was born, my nephew sent a pic of him onto my sister ###'s cell. My mother would not even look at it.) Her heart is broken. I am not too thrilled either -- I am twice a great aunt and have yet to lay my eyes on my nephew's children. But to make long story short, my mother saw ### in grocery store. She invited her tonight for dinner. ### accepted the invitation, but there is no way to contact her to confirm. Anyway, my mother did not want to overwhelm ### so she canceled our normal Tuesday dinner with my sister ###, my nephews and brother-in-law and with ### and I. PLEASE -- Pray that ### shows up and on time and this leads to a reconciliation. I do not want to see my mother's heart broken again. Also, please pray that any and all re-involvement of these estranged members of my family is peaceful and joyful and does not cause any harm to anybody in my family, myself included. Amen and amen.
