My sister graduated college and her transition into the "real world" has been rocky. The longest she's ever held a job was 6 months and she is going into this weird phase where she believes God doesn't want her to do any "menial" jobs she's not personally satisfied with and that she is destined for something great. Well long story short...she's been influenced by some prosperity gospel people and believes all of a sudden it's her destiny to be wealthy, successful, and live a fully satisfied life with a career she was destined to do. I don't know how to interpret any of this, but it just seems odd to me. I request a prayer for ### to wake up emotionally, spiritually, and finally enter the adult world.

Lord hear cries of people around this woman who needs to grow and and realize she needs to work regardless of the non-famousness of everyday life. Bless them for praying for her. Let her realize that she can do bigger things but, may have to do something else what she calls menial first. However, going to work everyday and earning a wage is really not menial it is making a wage. Bless those who do....Amen.

Good prayer. Is time for your ### to wake up and smell the coffee. The economy stinks. There are hardly any jobs. My brother-in-law used to make $### a year. Now he is mowing lawns for a living. His brother was a graphic design specialist pulling down big bucks. He now works at a hardware store. My father is ###. He is still selling cars as he always did, but the point here is he can not afford to retire. I know people taking busses to really dumb, boring jobs miles and miles away from where they live just to get lousy $### an hour with no benefits. On and on. I hope that your ### gets to work her dream job, earns lots of bucks and enjoys every minute of it. But, apparently, that is not God's will for her right now. She just needs to grow up and accept reality, harsh as that may be. And as far as these "prosperity Gospel" people you are referring to, they do more damage. They take very warped view of Christianity. They inflate peoples' egos in one way and cause them to become prideful and take kind of a "Santa Claus" view of God. They appeal to peoples' weakness including laziness. They also hurt people by telling them if they pray and don't get healed or don't get money or whatever that God did not answer their prayers because they did not have enough faith. Is horrible thing to do to a person, but they do it all the time. Anyway, I will be praying very hard for your request. I pray for this request for the good of your ###. She is not seeing things right right now, and she is setting herself up for a fall. I am praying God will change her heart, her attitude. I pray for her in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Amen and amen.
