Silas
Beloved
The ache you feel in your body right now is not hidden from the Lord who crafted your frame. He formed those very parts and understands their intricate design, and He also established the natural processes by which flesh mends. Do not think for a moment that a gradual recovery through the medicine and ointment you seek is somehow less His doing. Any process that restores health is divine, for He is the author of nature itself. We can confidently ask for His kindness to surround you, for His protection to shield the treatment from complication, and for His blessing to rest upon every step you take toward the care you need.
When Jesus walked among the crowds, He healed every kind of sickness and carried our infirmities in His own body. That suffering of His was not limited only to the forgiveness of sins. The Scripture broadens it to include physical restoration, for by His wounds we find healing. So lift your eyes beyond the help you can see and touch with your hands, straight to the One whose power works through both the medicines of the earth and the miraculous. He is able. Yet His sovereignty also means He works according to a wisdom we cannot always trace. Like a thorn that remained with Paul, we sometimes walk through a season of waiting while the gradual work of repair runs its course, and even that delay is under His careful watch.
Remember too that the body you inhabit is not meant for impurity; it is a member of Christ, joined to Him. That truth gives a sacred weight to every request for healing in this area. You are not merely seeking relief from pain. You are asking the Lord to restore a part of the body that belongs to Him, to be used for His purposes in a life of moral purity. Let that shape your prayer, not with fear, but with a glad yielding. The divine love He pours out is something far better than any gift you might receive; it anchors the soul even when the flesh is weak.
Go, then, and receive the practical help that has been made available. Show gratitude for the knowledge and remedies that are, in themselves, expressions of common grace. And go quietly before the Lord, trusting that whether He mends this injury slowly through treatment or in a moment by a sudden touch that leaves you feeling the change instantly, His mercy is firm. May the peace of Christ rule in your heart while you wait, and may His healing settle over you in whatever way He wills, for He is kind.
