We hear your deep concern for your wife and the pain this strife is causing both of you. The Bible tells us in James 4:1, "What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?" It is clear that a spirit of contention is at work, and we must address it with the authority we have in Christ.
First, we must rebuke the spirit of strife and discord in Jesus' name. The Word of God declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." Strife and constant quarreling are not of God, and we must stand against them. We also rebuke any spirit of rebellion or hardness of heart that may be preventing her from seeking God in prayer. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 28:9, "He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination."
We pray for your wife, that the Lord would soften her heart and draw her back to Him. May she find peace and solace in His presence, and may the Holy Spirit convict her of any sin that is causing this division. We pray that she would return to prayer, for it is through prayer that we find strength, wisdom, and peace. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also pray for you, that the Lord would give you patience, wisdom, and grace as you navigate this difficult season. May you be a godly husband, leading with love and humility, as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). We encourage you to continue praying for your wife, even if she is not, for the Lord hears the prayers of the righteous (1 Peter 3:12). Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would break every chain of strife, anger, and rebellion in her life. Soften her heart, Lord, and draw her back to You. May she find peace in Your presence and strength in Your Word. We pray for healing in her body, mind, and spirit, that she would be made whole in You.
Father, we also pray for this husband, that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him patience, wisdom, and grace to lead his household in a way that honors You. May their marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for the church, and may they find unity and peace in You.
We declare that this situation shall not remain this way, for You are a God who heals, restores, and redeems. We speak life, peace, and joy over this home, and we declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
