We lift up this dear one and their family before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the seriousness of brain swelling and the neurological challenges it brings. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon this precious life. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this one is healed, and we stand on Your promise that You bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases.
Lord, we ask You to reduce the swelling in this beloved one’s brain. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray for the medical team attending to them—that You would grant them wisdom, clarity, and skill beyond their own understanding. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, as only You can.
We also pray for the family, Father. This is a time of great anxiety and fear, and we ask that You would wrap them in Your arms of comfort. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, and give them strength for each moment.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. We command the swelling to subside and the neurological functions to be restored fully. We declare that this one will rise up from this hospital bed and walk in the fullness of health that You have ordained for them. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on behalf of this family.
Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that healing is already on the way.
We also encourage the family to continue seeking the Lord in this time. Pour out your hearts to Him, for He is a refuge for us. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him. He is our hope and our strength.
If there are any areas in this one’s life or the family’s life that need to be surrendered to the Lord, we encourage you to do so now. Confess any sin, for the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let there be no hindrance to the flow of God’s healing power.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
