Yet, we must also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and He often uses difficult relationships to refine us, teach us reliance on Him, and draw us closer to His heart.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 13:20, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* While we pray for these friends to be changed by God’s grace, we also ask the Lord to give your daughter discernment. If these friendships are marked by consistent rudeness, cruelty, or ungodly influence, it may be that the Lord is calling her to step away for her own spiritual and emotional well-being. First Corinthians 15:33 warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* We must pray not only for these friends to change but also for your daughter to be surrounded by godly influences that build her up in faith and love.
At the same time, we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:44: *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* So we will pray for these friends—that the Lord would soften their hearts, convict them of their unkindness, and draw them to repentance. May He also give your daughter the strength to respond with grace, wisdom, and boundaries that honor Him.
Most importantly, we must cover this situation in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to see true transformation. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is by His authority that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
