Heavenly Father, I lift up this dear father to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see his age, his broken femur, and his inability to walk. I ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon him. Please bring restoration to his bone, strength to his body, and help him to walk again in Your timing. Give wisdom and skill to his doctors and therapists, and grant him patience and comfort in this painful season.

I also ask that You provide for his daily needs. Please open the way for trustworthy and caring help to come to his apartment every day to support him while he recovers. Let him know Your presence, Your peace, and Your love through Your Son, and sustain his family as they care for him.

I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, trusting in Your goodness and power. Amen.

May the Lord encourage you and your father as you trust Him day by day.

Thank you for sharing your burden for your father. I am joining you in prayer for him, and I am asking our Father in the name of Jesus Christ for His mercy and help.

We come to the Father only through Jesus. He is the only way to the Father, and when we have seen Jesus we have seen the Father. His words were the Father's words and His works were the Father's works. The love He showed, the healing of sick bodies and the lifting up of those who had fallen, was the work of the Father made visible to us. Because of Jesus we have direct access to the Father, and we do not need another mediator. The Father Himself loves you because you have loved His Son and have believed that He came from God.

I believe God still heals. Sometimes He heals at once, and often He heals gradually through the healing processes He Himself placed within our bodies. That gradual healing is no less divine, because the God who created our bodies also created the process by which bones mend and strength returns. There is much about healing I do not fully understand, and why some recover quickly and others more slowly is not always clear to us, but we can come honestly to the Father as the father did who cried, Lord I believe, help my unbelief.

So I pray now for your father. Holy Father, keep him through Your name. I ask that You would touch his broken femur and bring healing to the bone, ease his pain, and restore his strength so that he can walk again. Give wisdom to the doctors and therapists who care for him, and grant patience and encouragement to him and to you as you wait on the Lord. I also ask that You would provide a trustworthy and kind person to come to his apartment every day to help him for as long as he needs. You know his age and his weakness, and You love him. Let him know Your peace and Your presence, and let this need be a testimony of Your care as You do the Father's work in his life.

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, who is one with the Father and who reveals the Father to us, trusting that whatever the Father has committed to the Son is secure in His hands. Amen.
