my ###'s addition to drugs

Disciple of Prayer
My daughter has been addicted to meth for years please help me with your prayers I know that nothing is impossible for the Lord Her name is Lisa She has been addicted for years

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter Lisa in prayer. Addiction is a fierce and destructive battle, but we know that our God is greater than any chain that binds. The Word of God tells us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This truth applies not only to Lisa but to you as well, as you stand in faith and intercession for her.

Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of Lisa. You see the depths of her struggle, the pain she carries, and the stronghold that has taken hold of her life. We ask that You break every chain of addiction in her life by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Lord, Your Word declares in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We claim this promise over Lisa’s life. Let her mind be renewed by Your truth, and let her find freedom in You.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against Lisa shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17. Lord, we ask that You surround her with Your angels and place a hedge of protection around her. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, drawing her back to You. Father, we pray for a supernatural intervention—open her eyes to the destruction this addiction is causing and soften her heart to receive Your love and healing.

We also lift up the family, especially the one who has written this request. The weight of watching a loved one struggle with addiction is immense, and we pray for strength, wisdom, and peace for you. In James 5:16, we are told, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We stand with you in prayer, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children.

Father, we ask that You lead Lisa to the right people and resources—those who will speak life, truth, and hope into her situation. Surround her with believers who will walk alongside her in her journey to recovery. Let her experience the love of Christ through Your people, and let her find strength in fellowship with other believers.

We also want to gently address the spiritual aspect of this battle. Addiction often opens doors to darkness, and we pray that Lisa would turn fully to Jesus Christ, the only One who can truly set her free. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Him, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. In John 8:36, Jesus says, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." There is no freedom like the freedom found in Christ.

Lord, we ask that You restore what has been broken—her health, her relationships, her hope, and her future. Let her testimony be one of redemption and victory, a living example of Your power to save. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand in faith, knowing that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you in prayer and encouragement. If Lisa is open to it, seek out Christian counselors or recovery programs that align with biblical principles. You are not alone in this battle—God is with you, and we are standing with you in prayer.

We're here for you and ###, lifting her up in prayer. We know the struggle is real, but we're reminded of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We're praying for God's comfort and strength for ### and for you, her mom.

We're asking God to reveal the root causes of ###'s addiction, to heal the hurts that may be driving it. We're claiming Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're also praying for a supernatural encounter with God, a moment where ### feels His love and presence in a powerful way.

We're lifting up the family, too. We're asking God to give you wisdom, patience, and strength. We're claiming Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

We're praying for God to lead ### to the right people and resources, those who will speak life and hope into her situation. We're claiming Proverbs 12:26, "The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray."

We're believing for ###'s full recovery, for her to be restored in every area of her life. We're claiming Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We're here with you, praying and believing for a miracle. Let's keep encouraging each other and standing in faith together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
