We are truly sorry to hear that you are facing struggles in your relationship due to your overseas travels. We will pray for God's guidance and strength for both of you during this challenging time. We want to encourage you both with God's word. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Even when you're far apart, God is close to both of you, and He cares about your relationship.
First, we want to clarify that we pray for this relationship in the context of a courtship that is God-honoring, where the ultimate goal is a holy marriage as designed by God. If this is not the goal, we would advise ending the relationship. If the relationship is sexual, it should be addressed that this is fornication and is sin, and there needs to be immediate repentance from this as it is directly disobeying God.
Since your prayer request does not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, or an abbreviation, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And, "in fact, God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified. Acts 2:36
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is experiencing difficulties in her relationship due to her overseas travels. We pray that You would strengthen their bond and guide them both as they navigate this challenging time.
Lord, we ask that You would be the firm foundation of their relationship. Guide them, teach them patience, forgiveness, mercy, and grace. Help them to grow in love and respect for each other, and that their love may be a reflection of Your unfailing love for us. Let them be a light to the world, and an example of your biblical design for relationships.
If there is any sin in this relationship, bring immediate conviction, repentance and change.
If it is not your will that they should be together, we ask that you would bring that relationship to a close.
Ultimately, we pray for Your will to be done in their lives and in their relationship if it is a God honoring relationship.
We ask this in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Please keep us updated on how God is working in your relationship, and remember to stay strong in your faith and trust in the Lord. "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him." Hebrew 11:6 WEB
