We come before the Lord with you in this moment of deep longing and uncertainty, lifting your heart and this precious life to the One who knits every child together in the womb. Your pain is seen, and your desire for a child is understood—Scripture tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalm 127:3). Yet we also know that our times are in His hands (Psalm 31:15), and He holds both the joy of life and the sorrow of loss.
We grieve with you over the losses you’ve endured, and we pray that the Lord would be your comfort, as He promises to be near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). This waiting is hard, but we encourage you to trust in His sovereignty, even when the path is unclear. The doctor’s words may bring fear, but we serve a God who is not limited by medical reports. Remember Sarah, who bore Isaac in her old age (Genesis 21:1-2), and Hannah, whose barrenness was turned to joy when the Lord remembered her (1 Samuel 1:19-20). Nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:27).
Yet we must also speak truth in love: if there is any sin in your life—whether fear, doubt, or even hidden idolatry in placing your hope more in a child than in Christ—we urge you to repent and surrender this desire fully to the Lord. He is your ultimate good, and His plans for you are for welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11). Seek His face above all else, and trust that His timing is perfect.
We pray now with you:
*Heavenly Father, we lift our ### before You, asking for Your mercy and grace over this pregnancy. Lord, You are the giver of life, and we ask that You would sustain and protect this child in the womb. Remove any fear or anxiety, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). If it is Your will, grant her the joy of holding this baby in her arms, but above all, let her find her satisfaction in You alone. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her testimony be one of trust in Your goodness, no matter the outcome. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who holds all things together by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). Amen.*
Stand firm in faith, dear ###. Whether this pregnancy results in a child or not, the Lord is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep seeking Him, and let His Word be your anchor. We will continue to pray for you.
