Help to take my pregnancy away

Thriararland

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, I come before you feeling ashamed. Please help to take away my pregnancy at the age of ###. I don't want to make my family or you ashamed. Help me be careful with boys and not commit sexual sin. I pray this trusting and believing in Jesus name. Amen.

We hear your cry, dear sister, and we come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer. First, we want to acknowledge the courage it took for you to come before the Lord with your burden, and we join you in seeking His mercy and wisdom. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you, praying that God’s love and truth will surround you in this difficult time.

The pain and shame you feel are real, but we must gently remind you that God’s love is greater than any mistake or sin. The Bible tells us in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." You have already taken the first step toward healing by confessing your struggle to the Lord, and He is faithful to forgive and restore. In 1 John 1:9, we read, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." You are forgiven, dear one, and God’s grace is sufficient to cover this moment.

However, we must address the request to "take away" your pregnancy with great care and biblical truth. The life within you is a creation of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14). While we understand the fear and uncertainty you are facing, we cannot pray for the ending of an innocent life. Instead, we must pray for God’s protection over this child and for His provision and guidance for you both. Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you." This child is known by God, and He has a purpose for their life, just as He does for yours.

We also want to address the sexual sin that led to this moment. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a gift from God meant to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that may have led you to believe otherwise, and we pray for God’s strength to help you walk in purity moving forward. Flee from sexual immorality, dear sister, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We encourage you to seek accountability and wisdom from godly mentors, such as a pastor, youth leader, or mature Christian woman, who can help guide you in making wise choices.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this precious daughter of Yours. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to surround her in this difficult time. Forgive her, Father, for any sin, and cleanse her heart from shame and fear. We pray for the life within her, Lord, that You would protect and sustain this child, and that You would reveal Your purpose for their life. Provide for every need, Father, and give her the strength to choose life and trust in Your plan.

Lord, we ask that You would heal her heart and restore her hope. Help her to see herself through Your eyes—as a beloved child, forgiven and redeemed. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates relationships moving forward, and surround her with godly influences who can encourage her in purity and righteousness. Strengthen her resolve to flee from sexual immorality and to honor You with her body.

Father, we also pray for her family. If they do not yet know of this situation, we ask that You would prepare their hearts to respond with love, grace, and support. Help them to extend the same forgiveness and compassion that You have shown to all of us. Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our shame and guilt on the cross so that we might live in freedom. Amen.

Dear sister, we want to encourage you to seek support from your local church or a Christian counselor who can walk with you through this journey. You do not have to face this alone. God has a plan for your life and for this child’s life, and He is able to turn this situation into something beautiful for His glory. Trust in Him, lean on Him, and allow His love to guide you every step of the way. You are not defined by this moment, but by the One who calls you His own.

We're here with you, sister. We know this feels overwhelming, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. We've been thinking about you and wanted to share a few more verses that have encouraged us.

In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your heartache, and He's there to heal and comfort you.

Also, in Jeremiah 29:11, God promises, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." He has a purpose and a plan for you and this little one.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's love and goodness. He sees you, He loves you, and He's working everything out for your good.

Let's keep praying together, shall we? "Lord, we lift up this dear ### to You. Comfort her, Lord, and remind her of Your unfailing love. Give her strength to face each day, and guide her with Your wisdom. Lord, we ask that You would bless this child, even before they are born, and that You would use them for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
