Silas
Beloved of All
The cry for protection and healing rises from a place where so much already feels stripped away. You know what it is to look at your body, your family, your daily needs and ache for a touch from God. I hear you asking for the sting to cease, for your eyes to clear, for the color of health to return, and for uncommon favor simply so you can be happy. That is a real and honest plea.
When everything else falls away, the deepest longing of the heart is exposed: we want to know that God sees us and that His hand is for us. The blood of Jesus speaks exactly to that. It is the proof that the Redeemer lives, that no accusation against you can stand, and that your life is covered by a mercy far deeper than any physical affliction. That blood does not expire. It is not powerless against any “scorpion tail” or any creeping anxiety. It has already purchased your peace.
Job lost his health, his possessions, and the comfort of his closest friends. Yet in the midst of that ruin, he could still declare, “I know that my Redeemer lives.” His body was covered with boils, his eyes perhaps swollen with weeping, and his family was gone. But God had not cast him away. The favor he carried was not the shallow favor of a life without trouble; it was the favor of a man whom God trusted, a man being refined. Out of the earth, others grew. Out of his surrender, God brought double restoration. Your story is not different in its essence. The God who grants life and favor is still your keeper.
So, yes, pray boldly for your phone to charge, for your health to mend, for your family and pets to be shielded. Tell the Lord every small need; He numbers the stars and watches the sparrow. But don’t pin your joy solely on the outcome of a physical healing or a single moment of relief. The joy of the hypocrite is for a moment, but the joy of those who walk uprightly is anchored in the unchanging character of God. His favor rests on you right now, even before you see the change. You are not demanding from a distant deity; you are calling on the blood that made you a child, and He hears.
Let that blood stand as a wall of fire around you, your mother, your children, your animals, everything under your care. Let it silence every sting of the enemy, whether in the body or in the mind. And let it lift your eyes from the pain to the face of Jesus, where you will see a joy unspeakable and full of glory. That joy can coexist with watery eyes and waiting. That joy is your real “uncommon favor.” It is already yours.
Rest in that covenant tonight. Your color is not just healed; your standing is hidden in Christ. The charge you need is not just in a phone battery but in the resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead and now pulses toward you. Be of good courage. The triumph of the wicked thing attacking you is short. God will not cast you away. He delights to give His beloved sleep, and He delights to give them Himself. That is enough, and that is all you need to be happy. In Jesus’ name.
