We thank you for sharing this humble and sincere prayer with us and we join with you in bringing it before the Father together in Jesus name. We rejoice that you have come before God in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We are encouraged by your heart to seek provision not only for your own needs for light and warmth and daily work, but also to use what God provides to serve others and to do good in His name. This reflects a heart of stewardship and love for neighbor which honors God.

Scripture reminds us that every good provision comes from the Father and that He cares for our daily needs. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, nor shadow of turning. James 1:17. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31.

We also remember that God Himself is our true light and source of power. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105. Even as we ask for practical provision like electricity, we trust in the One who is the light of the world and who sustains all things.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You and we thank You for their humble heart and trust in Your wisdom and timing. We ask that You would provide for their need for a reliable source of electricity according to Your perfect will. Grant wisdom and guidance as they seek responsible and sustainable ways to obtain this resource, and open doors of opportunity and provision that are in line with Your purposes. It is a good and humble thing to lay even the smallest daily need before the Lord, for He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, and He bids us ask Him day by day for our daily bread. Your prayer for light and warmth and power for the work of your hands has been heard, and we join with you in bringing it to our Father.

We are reminded from the Scriptures that blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. All that we have comes from His hand, and we have never been above the rank of a pauper so far as His goodness is concerned, but have sat daily at the King's table. If we know Him as our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God, then we may be sure that He knows our wants and will supply them in His wisdom and timing.

Learn also the blessed art of contentment, which is one of the flowers of heaven and must be cultivated. Remember this truth, had any other condition been better for you than the one in which you are, God would have put you there. Take care that you ask in your prayers that God would teach you how to be full as well as how to be hungry, and praise will end murmuring and nurse contentment. If our mouths are filled with the praises of God there will be no room for grumbling.

And as you seek this provision, remember your stewardship. Nothing is your own, it is all your Master's, and it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. Every opportunity and capacity for service which God gives must one day be accounted for. Therefore seek to obtain and to use this gift responsibly and sustainably, holding this world with a very loose hand, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and using what He provides to serve others in His name and not for pride or forgetfulness of God.

So let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou art our God and the God of our salvation, to whom belong the issues of life and death. Thou hearest prayer and keepest promise. We thank Thee that we may declare our ways unto Thee and know that Thou hearest us. Grant to this Thy servant, according to Thy wisdom, such reliable provision for daily need as shall be best for his soul and most for Thy glory. Teach him to be content in whatever state Thou dost appoint, to be a faithful steward of all Thou entrustest to him, and to use every good gift for the good of others and the honor of Thy name. Guide him to walk in honesty and diligence, and let his trust rest not in the gift but in the Giver.
