My one month old daughter is in the NICU cause she was born was a condition called Gastroschisis - a condition in which the baby is developed in the womb with the bowl outside of the abdomen, it requires surgery some time after birth. My baby's name is Oceana May, she's so beautiful and is already a sweetheart. She was doing well and was starting to eat my breastmilk and was doing fine with it. Then suddenly, she got alot of air in her tummy and that caused some dialation of the bowel (intestines). She was put back on IV and they had to stop her feeds. It's heartbreaking to hear that your child was going to come home soon and then the next day you hear they'll have to stay a few weeks longer. It hurts seeing your infant have to go through this, but I know it's in God's hands. I need lots and lots of prayer that she'll overcome and fight through this bump in the road and come home to me. I just want her healthy and without any complications. Please pray for her!!! God Bless ~
