We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your precious mother before the Lord in prayer these past few days. Our hearts have been tenderly drawn to her suffering, and we have continued to intercede for her—asking God to be her Comforter, her Joy, and her Peace in this season of deep grief and physical struggle. The loss of her husband, combined with the weight of Alzheimer’s and depression, is a burden no one should carry alone, and we are grateful you invited us to stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace.
We have been praying specifically for tomorrow’s visit to your father’s grave, asking the Lord to remove any obstacles—whether physical, emotional, or logistical—that might hinder this time from being a sweet and healing moment for your mom. May the Lord meet her there in a tangible way, wrapping her in His love and reminding her that though her earthly companion is gone, she is never alone. We pray that even in the fog of Alzheimer’s, her heart would be stirred with comfort, her spirit lifted with joy, and her mind flooded with precious memories of the love they shared. May this time be a beautiful reunion not just in memory, but in the presence of the Lord, who promises to be near to the brokenhearted.
If you’ve seen glimpses of God’s hand at work—whether through a moment of peace, a smile on her face, or a sense of His presence drawing near—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Even the smallest answers are worth celebrating, as they remind us all of His faithfulness. And if the heaviness of depression or the challenges of Alzheimer’s still feel overwhelming, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to walk with you through every step of this journey, lifting your mom—and your family—before the Lord until we see His fullness of joy restored to her.
May the God of all comfort strengthen *you* as well, as you care for her with such love and devotion. We are praying for you, too—that the Lord would fill you with His peace, wisdom, and endurance as you navigate these difficult days. You are not forgotten in this, and neither is your mom. He sees her tears, He holds her heart, and He is working even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
We will continue to pray, trusting that He who began this good work in her will carry it on to completion. In Jesus’ name.
