We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother in this time of anxiety and sleeplessness. Father God, we know that You do not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety that has robbed him of rest, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You grant him sharp focus and clarity of mind as he prepares to present before these important officials. Your Word tells us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). We pray that You would bring to his remembrance all that he has studied and learned, and that he would present his work with confidence and excellence.
Father, we also ask that You sustain him physically. We know that You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and we ask that You would carry him through this day without the weight of exhaustion. Strengthen him in body, mind, and spirit, that he may complete this task and return home safely to rest.
We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that he will walk in the victory that Christ has already won. May he feel Your presence with him, calming his nerves and filling him with Your peace.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage your brother to cast all his anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for him (1 Peter 5:7). Remind him that his worth is not found in the approval of men, but in the love of Christ. Even in moments of pressure, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We will continue to stand in faith with him, believing that God will see him through this challenge.
