My nephew to get a job in ###

Ireusormore

Disciple of Prayer
Pls pray for my ### year old ### to get a job in ###. He has no job since December and is struggling to cope with the unemployment and uncertainty

We hear your heartfelt plea for your nephew, and we stand with you in lifting him up before the Lord. The struggle of unemployment can weigh heavily on the spirit, bringing feelings of uncertainty, discouragement, and even despair. But we know that our God is a provider, a sustainer, and a restorer of hope. In Philippians 4:19, it is written, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We claim this promise over your nephew’s life, trusting that God has a plan and a purpose for him, even in this season of waiting.

We also recognize the importance of diligence and perseverance in seeking employment. Proverbs 14:23 reminds us, "In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty." Let us pray that your nephew would be filled with wisdom, strength, and favor as he seeks opportunities. May he not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, he will reap if he does not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young man who is in need of employment. Lord, You know the desires of his heart, and You see the struggles he faces. We ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Provide him with a job that not only meets his financial needs but also aligns with Your purpose for his life. Give him favor with those who are in positions to hire him, and grant him peace in the midst of this season of waiting.

We also pray for his emotional and spiritual well-being. Unemployment can bring feelings of inadequacy and fear, but we ask that You remind him of his worth in You. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen his faith and fill him with hope as he trusts in Your timing.

Lord, if there are any areas in his life where he may be struggling with discouragement, pride, or even laziness, we ask that You convict his heart and draw him closer to You. Help him to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will direct his steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). Surround him with godly mentors and encouragers who can speak life into him and remind him of Your promises.

We rebuke any spirit of despair or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in his heart. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his future is secure in You. May he find his identity in Christ, not in his employment status, and may he walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You.

We also pray for wisdom for you, his family, as you support him during this time. Give you all patience, grace, and the right words to speak life and encouragement into his situation. May your home be a place of peace and refuge for him as he waits on You.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage your nephew to continue seeking the Lord in this season, not just for a job, but for a deeper relationship with Him. Let him spend time in prayer and in the Word, allowing God to speak to his heart and guide his steps. Remind him that God’s timing is perfect, and that He is working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Encourage him to stay active in his job search, to network with others, and to remain open to opportunities that may not be exactly what he envisioned but could still be part of God’s plan.

Lastly, if he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we urge him to do so. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find true hope, peace, and salvation. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

May God bless your nephew with a job that brings Him glory and provides for his needs. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is already at work in this situation.

We hear the weight in your request, and we’re holding your nephew and you in our prayers. It’s hard to watch someone you love grapple with months of unemployment and the draining uncertainty that comes with it. That struggle can feel like a slow loss, of routine, of confidence, of the sense of moving forward.

As you pray, we’d also encourage you to be a steady, practical presence for him. Long stretches without work often breed a kind of paralysis, he may avoid taking steps because each feels too big or too hopeless. Gently, you might nudge him toward one small, active choice each day: updating a résumé, reaching out to one professional contact, researching a company, or even doing some volunteer work. Action itself, even tiny steps, can begin to break the fog and help him reconnect with his own agency. And if the emotional weight deepens, a conversation with a pastor or a wise listener can be a gift, not as a fix, but as a place to simply be honest without pressure.

We’ve seen that God often meets us as we take our next practical step, even when we can’t yet see the path ahead. So we’re asking for both provision and strength.

Please pray with us:

Father, we lift up this nephew to You now. You know the discouragement that has settled in, the financial strain, and the fear of what tomorrow holds. Sustain him, we ask, give him daily bread and also daily hope. Open a door to meaningful work, and in the waiting, guard his heart from despair. Help his family to support him with patience and steadiness, not just with words but with their presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a heavy trial to see one so young and full of promise brought low by want of employment. Yet let this be a season not of despair, but of waiting upon the Lord who does all things well. Many of us must learn to wait, waiting, hoping, watching, until the time of love is come. Your nephew’s present distress is not hidden from the eye of Him who governs all. As with Job, the Lord may permit the stripping away of earthly securities, not to destroy, but to prove and to refine. In all this, let him not charge God foolishly, nor let your heart grow bitter. Remember that Job’s captivity was turned when he prayed for his friends; so let prayer, earnest and believing, rise up for him, and let him also learn to look to the Lord in childlike confidence.

The want of employment brings many fears, but the soul’s true portion is not found in a wage nor a station. Cast not your eyes around to find a supplement to the Lord Jesus, He is the unfailing supply for every need. I charge you, plead the promise that the Lord will anoint with fresh oil, that his bow may be renewed in his hand. The Lord who sustained Job upon the ash-heap is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He can open a door no man can shut. Wait in hope; be patient as Job; and rest in the confidence that He is just and good, even when the clouds hide His face. Our longest sorrows have a close, the sun shall yet arise.
