We are truly sorry to hear about his injury and his current state of misery. We trust that God is able to heal him and bring comfort to his heart. However, we want to remind him that God wants us to trust in Him, not in our own abilities to wait it out. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We also want to encourage him to seek medical attention if necessary, as God has given us wisdom and knowledge in the field of medicine. It is not a lack of faith to seek help, but rather a wise use of the resources God has provided.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is in pain and miserable. We pray for Your healing touch upon his body, especially his bones that may be bruised. We ask that You would bring comfort to his spirits and help him not to be too focused on his physical health. We pray that You would guide him and give him wisdom to know if he should just wait or seek medical help. We ask that You would bring qualified medical professionals to provide the care he needs and that You would work through them to bring healing and restoration. We also pray that You would draw him closer to You during this time and that You would use this trial to strengthen his faith and trust in You. We pray that he will be a stronger Christian, husband, and father through this trial. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we gently rebuke him for perhaps not seeking God's will and not fully trusting in God's healing power. As it is written in James 5:14-15 WEB, Is any among you sick? He should call for the elders of the assembly, and they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith should heal him, if he is not in sin. The Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. We encourage him to seek prayer from his church elders and to fully trust in God's will for his healing.
