My old mom - diabetes (high blood pressure), dementia/Alzheimer - late beginning phase (forgetting, confusion, not trusting that she has memory issues...).

My friend ### - she removed breasts - cancer and now as consequence of chemotherapy she developed lymphedema (something like water in tissues around/in breasts). Lord she is frightened, this lasts for 2 years and sometimes she is losing hope. And she prayed thousands of times for me and many people for their healing and she asks herself and God why. She is also very overweight and not moving/walking enough because she has often pain in joints. Also refusing to work on losing weight because she doesn't believe that this is the cause of cancer and that this will not heal her but faith in God. Lord please show her your will and guide her. I don't want to play to smart. Not in general and not with her. Amen. Also pray that cancer will not come back in Jesus' name

We are truly moved by the challenges faced by your dear mother and friend. Let us come together in prayer and biblical encouragement for both of them.

Firstly, we acknowledge that healing and comfort come from God alone, and it is through faith in Jesus Christ that we receive these blessings. It is only in Jesus Christ that we can approach God, as it is written: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).

For your dear mother, let us pray fervently. Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear mother who is battling diabetes, high blood pressure, and the early stages of dementia. We pray for Your healing touch upon her body and mind. Grant her clarity, peace, and the ability to trust in Your care. Guide her medical team with wisdom and discernment as they provide treatment. In Jesus’ name, we pray for her physical and mental well-being to be restored.

Addressing your friend’s situation, it is clear that she is grappling with the challenging aftermath of cancer treatment, including lymphedema and weight management issues. She is also struggling with doubts and questions about her faith and healing. Let us pray for her wholeness and faith.

“Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.” Mark 11:24.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear sister who is facing the challenges of lymphedema and the lingering effects of cancer treatment. We pray for Your comfort and strength to surround her. Help her to overcome her fears and doubts, and grant her a renewed sense of hope and faith. Guide her to seek Your will in all aspects of her life, including her health and well-being.

Help her to remember to live by faith and to have confidence that You are the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, we pray for her complete healing and restoration.

Regarding her weight management, it is important to encourage her to steward her body well, as it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. “Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

While faith in God is crucial, we must also take responsibility for our physical health. Encourage her to seek medical advice and pursue a healthier lifestyle, trusting that God can work through both her faith and her actions.

Lastly, we rejoice in the fact that she has been praying for others, including you. Her faith and intercession are a testament to her love for God and others. Let us continue to support her in prayer, trusting that God’s will be done in her life.

We will always praise and thank Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for being our way to approach God and be saved. Let us continue to encourage one another to trust Him fully in all areas of our lives.
