We lift up your dear mother before the Lord with heavy and compassionate hearts. The transition into having a caregiver, especially during the night, can be unsettling for anyone, but particularly for someone grappling with the confusion and restlessness that often accompany Alzheimer’s. We understand your concern and share in your desire for her peace and rest.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, who alone can calm the anxious heart and still the troubled mind. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, we ask that You would pour out this supernatural peace upon this precious mother tonight. Quiet her mind, ease her fears, and grant her the gift of beautiful, uninterrupted sleep. Let her rest in the assurance that You are her ever-present help, even in the darkest hours.
We also pray for the caregiver who will be with her tonight. Father, we ask that You would grant this young woman wisdom, patience, and a gentle spirit as she cares for your beloved daughter. May she be a source of comfort and kindness, reflecting Your love in every interaction. Let their time together be marked by moments of grace, laughter, and mutual respect. We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or agitation that may seek to disrupt this new season of care. Instead, we declare that Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), will reign in this home tonight.
Lord, we know that Alzheimer’s is a heavy burden, not just for those who suffer from it, but for their families as well. We ask that You would strengthen the hearts of this family, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give them patience, wisdom, and the assurance that You are working all things together for good, even in the midst of this trial (Romans 8:28).
We also want to gently remind this family of the importance of grounding their hope and prayers in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your mother or anyone in this family has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them close, revealing the love and sacrifice of Christ in a way that leads to repentance and faith. For it is written, *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household"* (Acts 16:31).
Father, we trust in Your goodness and mercy. We declare that tonight will be a night of peace, rest, and blessing for this mother and her caregiver. May Your presence fill the room, and may Your angels watch over them as they sleep. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
