Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me. My husband ghosted me and our two daughters. Years now. He destroyed me and my life. Our daughters are good. Grown. Happy. I’m still suffering from my shattered heart and destroyed life. Please pray for me. Pray God forgives me. Pray He lets me find love and happiness again. God. Let my new love be my old love Bruce D. Pray for me. I need Your help.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up your shattered spirit and the wounds left by your husband’s abandonment. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten, and your suffering is seen by the One who heals all wounds.

First, we must address the matter of forgiveness—not for his sake, but for yours. You ask God to forgive you, but we must gently remind you that if you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, your sins are already forgiven through His sacrifice on the cross. 1 John 1:9 says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* However, if there is bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in your heart toward your husband, we must ask the Holy Spirit to help you release it. Holding onto such pain only prolongs your suffering. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."*

Now, regarding your desire for love and happiness again, we must approach this with biblical wisdom. You mention praying for your "new love" to be your "old love," ###. If ### is not your husband, we must rebuke any thought of pursuing a relationship outside of marriage. The Bible is clear in Hebrews 13:4, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* If ### is not your husband, we must caution you against entertaining romantic feelings for him, as this could lead to sin and further heartache. Instead, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will for a godly spouse, should He choose to bring one into your life. Proverbs 19:14 says, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord."*

We also want to gently address the mention of your husband’s name without invoking the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach God or find salvation. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first step to true healing and peace.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister who has endured so much pain. Lord, You see her shattered heart, her loneliness, and her longing for love and restoration. We ask that You would draw near to her, as You promise in Your Word, and bind up her wounds. Heal the places in her heart that have been broken by betrayal and abandonment. Help her to release any bitterness or unforgiveness, filling her instead with Your peace and Your love.

Father, we ask that You would guide her steps according to Your will. If it is Your plan for her to remarry, we pray that You would bring a godly man into her life—a man who loves You first and who will cherish and honor her as Your Word commands. But Lord, if it is not Your will for her to remarry, we ask that You would fill the void in her heart with Your presence, Your joy, and Your purpose for her life. Help her to find her fulfillment in You alone, knowing that You are enough.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and loneliness that has tried to take root in her life. We declare that she is not forgotten, she is not abandoned, and she is deeply loved by You. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in Your timing and Your plans for her life. Surround her with godly community—believers who will walk alongside her, encourage her, and point her to You.

And finally, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a fresh and powerful way. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that she would surrender her life to Jesus Christ, finding in Him the forgiveness, love, and hope that she so desperately needs. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we want to leave you with this encouragement from Isaiah 43:18-19: *"Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."* God is not done with your story. He is making a way where there seems to be no way, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep your eyes on Him, trust in His promises, and allow His love to fill the empty places in your heart. You are not alone.

We're here for you, dear friend. We feel your pain and we're lifting you up in prayer. We know it's hard to move on when your heart is still healing, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted. He sees you and He cares.

We want to encourage you to let go of any bitterness or resentment towards your husband. Holding onto these feelings only prolongs your suffering. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15 that if we forgive others, our Father in heaven will also forgive us. So, let's ask the Holy Spirit to help you release any unforgiveness and fill your heart with His love and peace instead.

As for your desire to find love and happiness again, we want to remind you that God has a plan for your life. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that He knows what's best for you. If it's His will for you to remarry, He will make it clear in His time. But even if that's not His plan, He promises to be enough for you. He can fill the void in your heart with His presence, joy, and purpose.

Let's pray:

Dear Lord, we come to You today with this precious sister. We ask that You would heal her broken heart, fill her with Your love, and guide her steps according to Your will. Help her to forgive as You've forgiven her, and to trust in Your plans for her life. Surround her with Your peace, Your joy, and Your purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You're not alone, dear heart. We're here for you, and so is God. Keep looking to Him, trusting in His love, and allowing His healing power to work in your life.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your pain in our hearts these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, lifting up your shattered heart and the life that was so abruptly torn apart. We have prayed fervently for God’s healing touch to mend every broken piece, for His peace to fill the spaces where grief and longing have taken root.

We asked the Lord to pour out His mercy and grace upon you, to remind you of His unfailing love even in the midst of this deep sorrow. We prayed for forgiveness—both for you and for those who have caused you pain—and for God’s restoration to begin in ways only He can provide. We lifted your daughters before Him, thanking Him for their strength and happiness, and asking that He draw them close to you in ways that bring comfort and connection.

And we have prayed for love—oh, how we have prayed. Not just for a new love to enter your life, but for God to rekindle your heart with hope, to show you that His plans for you are good, even when the path feels dark. We asked Him to prepare the way for joy to return, for laughter to replace tears, and for His perfect peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

If the Lord has moved in your life in ways you can see—if there has been even a small measure of healing, a moment of unexpected peace, or a glimpse of His faithfulness—we would be so grateful to hear it. Your praise report would encourage us all and remind us of God’s goodness.

If the weight still feels heavy, if the answers haven’t come yet, or if new struggles have arisen, please don’t hesitate to share them with us again. We are here to stand with you, to keep praying, and to trust that God is at work even when we cannot see it. You are not alone in this.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you, to bind up your wounds, and to lead you into the fullness of life He has promised. May His love surround you, His grace sustain you, and His hope renew you each day. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
