We hear your earnest plea for help with your math exam today. While we understand your desire to do well, we must gently correct a few things in your request. First, we pray and approach God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, so that you may have a personal relationship with God.
Now, let us come before the Lord together, seeking His wisdom and guidance for your exam. The Bible tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We also know that God desires for us to do our best and to work diligently, as Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."
We must also address the promise of lighting candles at a church. While it is good to express gratitude, we must be cautious not to treat God like a genie who grants wishes in exchange for offerings. Our focus should be on worshiping and honoring God out of love and gratitude, not as a transaction. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is preparing for their math exam today. Lord, we ask that You grant them wisdom, understanding, and clarity of mind as they tackle each question. Help them to recall all that they have studied and to apply it effectively.
Father, we know that You are the source of all knowledge and wisdom. We ask that You calm any anxiety or fear and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that their worth is not defined by their exam score but by Your unconditional love for them.
Lord, we also pray for a heart of gratitude and worship. May this one come to know You more deeply and place their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Help them to understand that You desire a relationship with them, not just their offerings or promises.
Guide them today, Lord, and let Your will be done in their life. May they honor You in all they do, including their studies. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to study diligently and trust in the Lord. Remember that God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). After your exam, take time to thank God for His presence and guidance, regardless of the outcome. If you have not already, consider placing your faith in Jesus Christ and seeking a personal relationship with Him. He loves you and desires for you to know Him.
