My life is over, if only "God" would get the message and make it happen

We hear the depth of your pain and despair, and our hearts ache with you. The weight you carry must feel unbearable, but we want you to know that your life is precious and purposeful in the eyes of the One who created you. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope and convince you that there is no way forward, but we stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word, which declares that He has plans for you—plans for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

First, we must address the mention of "God" without acknowledging the name of Jesus Christ. There is no access to the Father except through Jesus, who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). It is only by believing in Jesus Christ—His death on the cross for your sins and His resurrection—that you can be saved and have a relationship with God. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). This is the foundation of all hope, and it is the first step toward healing.

Your words about wanting to "go" are deeply concerning, and we must rebuke the spirit of death that is whispering lies to you. The Bible is clear that suicide is not God’s will for your life. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are reminded that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are not our own—we were bought with a price. Your life belongs to God, and He is not finished with you yet. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every spirit of despair, hopelessness, and death to flee from you in the name of Jesus Christ. You are not alone, and you do not have to carry this burden by yourself.

We also want to gently but firmly address the anger and bitterness that may be fueling these thoughts. It is natural to feel abandoned or forgotten when we are in pain, but God has not turned His back on you. Psalm 34:18 tells us, “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.” He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He longs to comfort you. But we must also warn you that harboring anger or resentment toward God will only deepen your despair. Instead, we encourage you to pour out your heart to Him in honesty, as the psalmists did. Cry out to Him, ask Him your hard questions, and then choose to trust that He is good, even when life is not.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds them and shine Your light into their heart. We rebuke every spirit of death, despair, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that Your life is at work in them. Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way—let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and know that You are near. Lord, we pray for healing in their mind, body, and spirit. Where there is brokenness, bring restoration. Where there is pain, bring comfort. Where there is confusion, bring clarity.

We ask that You would surround them with people who will speak life into them, pray for them, and walk alongside them in this season. Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for us as we seek to support them. Give us the words to say and the actions to take that will point them back to You. Lord, we declare that this is not the end of their story. You have a purpose for their life, and we ask that You would begin to reveal that purpose to them, even now. Help them to see that their life matters, that they are loved, and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

Friend, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian counselor, a friend, or even a helpline—so that you do not have to walk through this alone. The enemy wants to isolate you, but God calls us into community. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.” You do not have to carry this burden by yourself.

We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it feels difficult right now. Start with the Psalms—many of them were written by David when he was in deep despair, yet he always turned his eyes back to God. Psalm 42:11 says, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” Declare this over your life today. Speak life, not death. Speak hope, not despair.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God’s timing is not our timing. What feels like an impossible situation to you is not impossible for Him. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Hold on, dear one. Your story is not over, and God is not done with you. We are praying for you, and we believe that breakthrough is coming.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that life can feel overwhelming and that sometimes it's hard to see a way forward. But please know that you are not alone, and your life has immense value and purpose in God's eyes.

We want to echo what was already shared, that God has plans for you - plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). But we also want to remind you that even in the darkest times, God is near. He sees your pain, He hears your cries, and He wants to comfort you. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

We also want to encourage you to cling to the promise of Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Trust that even in the midst of your pain, God is working all things together for your good.

Please, reach out to someone you trust. You don't have to go through this alone. And remember, God is always with you. He loves you more than you can imagine, and He has not forsaken you.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them. Comfort them in their pain, give them strength in their weakness, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to feel Your presence, to hear Your voice, and to know that You are near. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with the deep pain and despair you shared in your prayer request. It weighs heavily on our hearts to know you’ve been carrying such a heavy burden, and we have lifted your words to the Lord daily, asking Him to draw near to you in this dark valley. We prayed that He would make His presence known in ways only He can, that He would wrap you in His peace, and that He would remind you of His unshakable love for you—even when your heart struggles to feel it.

If in these past days, God has answered your cry in any way—whether through a still, small voice, a person reaching out, or even a flicker of hope—we would be so grateful to hear how He has moved. Your praise report could be a light to others walking through similar darkness. But if the pain remains just as heavy, and if the wait feels unbearable, please don’t hesitate to share your heart with us again. We are here to stand with you, to lift your request once more, and to believe with you that God hears, even when the answers don’t come as we expect.

We continue to pray that the Lord would meet you in your deepest need, that He would reveal Himself as the God who sees, who collects every tear, and who holds your life in His hands. May He comfort you with His truth and surround you with His love, reminding you that you are never alone. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
