We join together with you in prayer and we thank you for sharing your heart with us. We hear your deep desire to be blessed, to be happy, to see your family, your children, your mother and even your pets well cared for and at peace, and we hear your thankfulness for the blood of Jesus which is the true source of every blessing.

We want to lovingly and gently bring some biblical correction to the way this request is framed, because we care about you walking in truth. Scripture teaches that it is God who calls things that are not as though they were, not us. Romans 4:17 reminds us that it is God who gives life to the dead and calls the things that are not as though they were. We do not create reality by speaking things into existence or by declaring a hundred fold increase. Jesus taught us to pray, Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth, Matthew 6:10, and James 4:15 says we ought to say, If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that. Our words do not force God's hand, and faith is not a formula to obtain mansions or castles. Jesus said, A man's life does not consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses, Luke 12:15.

We also hear your longing for extraordinary favor and great possessions, including a mansion and a castle in California. While God does provide for His children and we can thank Him for every good gift, true blessedness is not measured by houses or possessions. 1 Timothy 6:6 says godliness with contentment is great gain, and 1 Timothy 6:8 says if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. Philippians 4:11 teaches us to learn to be content in whatever circumstances we are in. The greatest blessing we have in Christ is spiritual, Ephesians 1:3 says we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, which includes forgiveness, adoption, and eternal life. Matthew 6:33 calls us to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, as He sees fit according to His perfect will, not our declarations.

We also want to address your mention of your man. If this man is not your husband, we encourage you to see this relationship as courtship with the goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman, as God designed. Genesis 2:24 says a man will leave his father and his mother and will be joined to his wife and they will be one flesh, and Hebrews 13:4 says let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. If you are living together or intimate outside of marriage, that is fornication and we urge you to turn from it and pursue purity. We pray that if it is God's will, He would lead you both toward holy marriage that honors Him, or if this is not His will, that He would give you clarity and peace to wait on His best. A godly spouse is a great gift, and we pray for a marriage that reflects Christ and the church.

We rejoice that you mentioned the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Our favor with God does not come from our declarations but from being accepted in Christ, Ephesians 1:6, through His sacrifice.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one and her mother, her three children, her household and her pets to You. We thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses and restores, and we ask that You heal souls as only You can, for Psalm 147:3 says You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds. We ask that You give her true joy and peace that is not dependent on possessions or a castle, but rooted in knowing You. Teach her contentment and gratitude in all things, as 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. Provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory, Philippians 4:19, and help her to steward what she has with thankfulness, whether it is a television or a home, with a heart that says Your will be done. We pray for her family to know You more deeply, for her children to be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and for her mother to be blessed. We pray for the man in her life, that You would convict, guide and lead that relationship toward holiness, and if it is Your will, toward godly marriage, and help them to flee fornication, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to honor You with their bodies and lives. We ask that You replace any teaching of manifestation with trust in Your sovereign goodness, and help her to find her identity as highly favored not because of what she declares, but because she is in Christ. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to delight yourself in the Lord, Psalm 37:4, and to find your dream not in a future mansion but in walking daily with Christ, for He is the true treasure and the giver of lasting happiness.

Your words have been heard with care, and I thank you for the thankfulness you express for your family, your children, your household and even your pets, and for the desire that your soul might be healed and happy through the blood of Jesus.

Let me speak to you plainly and lovingly concerning blessing, for no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance, and the double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, and He has blessed us just where we needed blessing, where we were poorest in spiritual things. This is the true favor upon which to set your heart, not a favor that is spoken into existence by our own words, but a favor freely given by God according to His grace. To bless God should be our life, who gave us our life, and we bless Him not by incantations but by trusting His Son, by glorifying Him as God and by giving thanks.

You speak of being highly favored and of a hundredfold blessing, of a mansion and a castle in California, and of happiness greatly multiplied. Remember that a man's contentment is in his mind, not in the extent of his possessions. Alexander, with all the world at his feet, cries for another world to conquer. Contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated. I beseech you, in your humble sphere, cultivate contentment. Be not idle, but seek by steady perseverance and temperate thriftiness to do good, yet learn with the apostle in whatsoever state you are, therewith to be content. The greatest blessing God ever gives to a man is His own presence. If you have Christ, you have more than a castle, for you have an inheritance that does not fade, kept in heaven for you.

Concerning your family and the man of whom you speak, know that God in His goodness ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and the gift of intimacy belong within that covenant. This is not a hard saying to burden you, but a gracious design to protect love and to make a home stable for children and for all who dwell there. I cannot ask God to bless what His Word calls outside His design, but I can and do pray that He will bless you with grace to walk in His way, and that if you and this man love one another, you would seek the honor of marriage before God, and so be a blessing to one another and to your household.

True gratitude always leads us to serve, and it distinctly makes our healing Lord the object of our service. First the healing, then the serving. If you have received healing through the blood of Jesus, who alone is the way of salvation, then arise and minister unto Him. One Christian in a family may bring a great blessing to it, and when God has blessed any man, He makes that man to be a blessing to others. Do not rob God of the revenue of glory which His grace deserves at your hands, but tell what He has done, show hospitality, seek the good of your children, and win hearts to Him through His mighty grace.

My prayer for you is this, that the Lord would command His blessing upon you in the best sense, that your soul would indeed be healed greatly by faith in Christ alone, that you would know the peace that comes from being forgiven and kept by Him who is able to keep you from falling, that you would grow in contentment and in thankfulness for mercies possessed, noting each one and rendering praise to God, and that your home, whether it be small or large, whether your television works or not, would be a place where God is blessed and where you are made a blessing to your mother, your children, and all who enter your doors. May the Lord teach you to bless Him from the first word to the last, till the last hour of life, and to find your dream not in a wall in China or a castle on earth, but in Christ, who is our portion forever.

Thank you for sharing your heart and the desires you have for your family, your children, your pets and your home. We hear your longing to be happy, to be secure, and to know that you and those you love are cared for and healed.

Scripture teaches us to bring our requests to God with gratitude and reverence. We are told that we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, and for that reason we are to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear, for our God is a consuming fire. The things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. That is why we are called not only to endure what comes in this life but to give thanks to God in all things, trusting His wisdom more than our own wishes.

This is different from trying to speak blessings into existence by our own words. True blessing does not come from declaring a mansion or a castle or a hundredfold increase for ourselves, but from receiving what God in His mercy has already given us through Jesus Christ alone. Forgiveness, healing of the soul, and eternal life are found only in Him and through His blood shed for us. When we have that, we have the greatest treasure, even if our outward circumstances remain simple.

God also teaches contentment. Contentment with godliness is great gain. Those who have much and those who have little are both called to use this world as not abusing it, and to hold what we have lightly, as though we possessed it not, so that our joy rests in Christ and not in possessions. A television that works, a home that shelters us, food and family around us, these are good gifts for which we can thank God each day, without needing more to be satisfied.

Concerning your home and the man in your life, we want to point you gently to God's good design. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and living together and sharing the intimacy of marriage belongs within that covenant. God loves you and wants what is holy and good for you, so we encourage you to seek His will for purity, faithfulness and commitment according to that design, trusting Him to lead you in the right path.

Let us pray for you.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this person and for the love she has for her mother, her children and her family. We thank You for Your daily provision and for the comforts You have given. We ask You to bring true healing to souls through faith in Jesus Christ alone, to deepen gratitude and contentment, and to set hearts on the eternal kingdom that cannot be moved. Give wisdom in every relationship, that it may be shaped by Your holiness and love, and help her to walk with reverence and godly fear before You.
