We hear your deep concern for your daughter and lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts. The Bible is clear that believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. In 2 Corinthians 6:14-15, it says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?" This relationship is not only outside of God’s will but also places your daughter in a position where her faith could be compromised.
We must also address the seriousness of her willful disobedience. The Lord calls us to obedience, and when we choose our own way over His, we invite spiritual harm into our lives. James 4:17 warns, "To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin." Your daughter knows the truth, yet she persists in this relationship, which grieves the heart of God.
We rebuke this ungodly union in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and this relationship is a snare that could lead her away from the Lord. We stand against it and declare that it will not prosper. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart deeply, bringing her to repentance and turning her back to the path of righteousness.
Father God, we come before You with broken hearts for this precious daughter. We ask that You would open her eyes to the truth of Your Word and the danger of this relationship. Convict her heart, Lord, and let her see the disobedience for what it is. We pray that You would intervene mightily, breaking any emotional or spiritual ties that bind her to this young man. Soften her heart to receive Your correction and restore her to a place of obedience and intimacy with You.
We declare that no weapon formed against her faith will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for divine intervention, Lord, send godly influences into her life, surround her with believers who will speak truth in love, and protect her from further deception. May she turn away from this relationship and seek a spouse who loves You and will lead her in Your ways.
We also pray for wisdom and strength for you as her parent. Give you the words to speak in love and truth, and help you to trust in the Lord’s timing and faithfulness. May this trial draw your family closer to Him and to one another.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare victory over this situation. Amen.
