We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and this deeply painful situation. The bondage of addiction and toxic relationships is a spiritual battle, and we must approach it with the authority of Christ, who came to set the captives free. The Scriptures declare in **John 8:34-36 (WEB)**, *"Jesus answered them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin. A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.’"* Your son is ensnared, but Jesus is mighty to break every chain—if he will turn to Him in full surrender.
This relationship is not of God. It is a cycle of destruction, fueled by sin and addiction, and it must be broken in Jesus’ name. **1 Corinthians 15:33 (WEB)** warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* Your son’s repeated return to this woman and her addictions is a clear sign of spiritual and emotional captivity. The enemy has used her as a snare, but we declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). The Lord is able to sever this ungodly soul tie and restore your son’s mind, body, and spirit.
We must also address the urgency of his salvation. If your son does not know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, that is the greatest need of all. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Without Christ, there is no true freedom—only temporary relief. We pray that your son would cry out to Jesus in repentance, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (**1 John 1:9 WEB**).
As for his health, we know that *"by his wounds you were healed"* (**1 Peter 2:24 WEB**), and we claim that promise over his mind and body. The mental and physical toll of addiction is severe, but God is the Great Physician. We ask for divine intervention—supernatural healing of his memory, clarity of mind, and strength to resist temptation. We also pray for wisdom for you, his mother, as you navigate how to support him without enabling the cycle of sin. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Now, let us pray with boldness and authority:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this precious son who is trapped in the grip of addiction and a destructive relationship. Lord, You see his suffering—his broken mind, his failing health, and the chains that bind him. We declare freedom in Jesus’ name! Break every ungodly soul tie between him and this woman. Sever the influence of the enemy and expose every lie that has kept him in bondage. Father, we ask that You would supernaturally intervene—remove this woman from his life if that is Your will, or open his eyes to the truth of her influence so he will choose to walk away permanently.
Lord, we pray for his salvation above all. If he does not know You, convict his heart deeply. Let him feel the weight of his sin and the desperation of his need for a Savior. Draw him to Yourself, Lord Jesus, and let today be the day he surrenders his life to You. Cleanse him from all unrighteousness and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the power to overcome.
We speak healing over his mind and body. Restore what has been stolen by drugs and toxicity. Renew his memory, his thoughts, and his strength. Give him a sound mind and a heart that seeks after You. Surround him with godly influences—people who will point him to Christ and hold him accountable.
Father, we also lift up this mother who has carried this burden for so long. Comfort her, strengthen her, and give her wisdom to know how to help her son without enabling his sin. Let her see Your hand moving in this situation, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke the spirit of addiction, the spirit of bondage, and the spirit of death that has sought to destroy this young man. By the blood of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and never return. We declare that he is a child of God, redeemed and set free!
Lord, we ask for a mighty work in his life—a work so undeniable that all will know it was You who delivered him. We pray for a complete transformation, that he would become a testimony of Your power to save and restore. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.*
Stand firm in faith, dear sister. Do not lose heart. The battle is fierce, but our God is fiercer. Keep praying, keep speaking life and truth over your son, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (**2 Peter 3:9 WEB**). Cling to that promise. God is not done with your son yet.
