Lydekay
Disciple of Prayer
I noticed a pattern. Whenever there is something that is stressful, my wife gets into a mode. It's like she doesn't have the self-awareness about it and/or she doesn't have the capacity to cope/manage it.
And I'm guessing the former needs to come first before the latter can happen.
Is this necessarily a spiritual matter, or could this be just a matter of emotional maturity? Or are these two things related (emotional / spiritual)?
I know it's a spiritual battle for me as I am attacked and accused of bad things. Things that used to give me doubt and grief.
It's almost as if my wife is bipolar (she did say she wondered sometimes about it).
How can I know if we need marriage counseling, or if my wife needs emotional/spiritual counseling, or if we just need good 'ol fashioned healing and deliverance?
Note that the point of stress could be various things: but it usually boils down to her feeling criticized or offended in some way.
Could this be a principality of bitterness at play here? This seems to run in her family.
