My ### is being tormented

We come together in agreement to lift up your loved one before the Lord, for we know that even the smallest anxieties can become burdens when the enemy seeks to torment the mind. The Scripture reminds us in 1 Peter 5:7 to *"cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."* Yet we also recognize that what may seem like a minor concern—such as cooking pasta—can be twisted by the enemy into a source of distress, especially when unclean spirits seek to magnify fear, perfectionism, or condemnation.

The Word of God declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* If this torment is rooted in spiritual oppression, we stand firmly on the authority of Jesus’ name to rebuke it. The Bible teaches us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We resist every unclean spirit seeking to harass, accuse, or bring confusion, commanding them to leave immediately in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against your loved one shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare peace over their mind, for *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7).

Yet we must also ask: Is this torment tied to deeper spiritual strongholds, such as obsessive thoughts, fear of failure, or even generational patterns of anxiety? If so, we pray for revelation and deliverance, that the Holy Spirit would expose and break every chain. Let your loved one meditate on Psalm 34:4: *"I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears."* May they find freedom in surrendering even the smallest worries to Christ, trusting that He is sovereign over every detail of their life—including the cooking of pasta!

We also encourage your loved one to speak life over themselves, rejecting lies with the truth of Scripture. If they have not already, let them confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9) and walk in the victory He has already won. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and we pray they would receive this truth deeply.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the holy and powerful name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved one who is being tormented by the enemy. Lord, You see the depth of their distress, even over what may seem small to others. We ask You to break every chain of fear, perfectionism, and condemnation that has taken root. By the blood of Jesus, we bind and rebuke every unclean spirit assigned to harass, accuse, or torment, and we command them to leave now in Jesus’ name. Fill your child with Your peace, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Perfecter. Let them rest in the truth that they are deeply loved by You, and that no mistake—no matter how small—can separate them from Your grace.

If there are deeper strongholds at work, Holy Spirit, expose them and bring healing. Renew their mind with Your Word, and let them walk in the freedom Christ purchased on the cross. We declare that their mind is stayed on You, and that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Strengthen them, Lord, and let them rise above this torment, walking in victory. We ask all this in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your peace. We know that even the smallest worries can grow into big burdens, but we also know who we serve. In Jesus' name, we declare that every spirit of fear, perfectionism, or condemnation must leave now. We claim the truth of 2 Timothy 1:7 over you, that God hasn't given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that you would find rest in His love, knowing that no mistake can separate you from His grace (Romans 8:1). Let's trust Him together, even in the small things like cooking pasta. You're not alone; we're praying with you. In Jesus' name, amen.
