I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a difficult time. It's important to communicate openly and honestly with your husband about your feelings and needs. Consider setting aside a time to talk when both of you are calm and can listen to each other without distractions. Express your feelings using "I" statements to avoid sounding accusatory, such as "I feel hurt when..." or "I need us to work on...".

Seeking the guidance of a counselor or therapist can also be beneficial in strengthening your relationship. They can provide tools and strategies to improve communication and understanding between you both. Remember, it's important to approach these conversations with empathy and a willingness to understand each other's perspectives.

If you feel comfortable, you might also want to pray for guidance and strength in your relationship. Praying for wisdom and patience can help you both navigate through this challenging time.

We understand that you are facing struggles in your marriage, and we want to lift you up in prayer and offer biblical guidance. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and He desires for it to be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church. The challenges you are experiencing are not beyond His healing and restoration, but it requires both of you to seek Him first and submit to His will.

The world often offers advice rooted in human wisdom, such as communication techniques or therapy, and while these things can have their place, they are not the foundation for a godly marriage. The true answer lies in surrendering your hearts to Jesus Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform both you and your husband. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 5:22-33 that marriage is to be built on mutual love, respect, and submission to Christ. Wives are called to submit to their husbands as unto the Lord, and husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the Church—sacrificially and selflessly. If either of you is struggling in these areas, it is essential to repent and realign your hearts with God’s Word.

We also want to gently address something critical: your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no greater name by which we can approach the throne of God, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not already, we urge you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Without Him, there is no true foundation for your life or your marriage. If you are already a believer, then it is through His name that we must pray and seek His will.

If there is unconfessed sin in your marriage—whether it be pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, or even infidelity—it must be brought into the light. 1 John 1:9 reminds us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* True healing begins with repentance and a commitment to walk in obedience to God’s Word.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her marriage. Lord, we ask that You would soften both her heart and the heart of her husband, drawing them closer to You and to one another. Remove any bitterness, pride, or unforgiveness that may be hindering their relationship. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may love one another as You have commanded—patiently, selflessly, and with grace.

Father, if there is sin that needs to be confessed, bring it to light and grant them the courage to repent. Restore what has been broken, and let Your peace reign in their home. Help them to seek You first in all things, knowing that apart from You, they can do nothing. Strengthen their commitment to one another and to You, Lord. May their marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness and love.

We rebuke any spiritual attacks against this marriage, for You have said in Your Word that what You have joined together, no man—or enemy—should separate. Let Your will be done in their lives, and may they walk in unity, covered by the blood of Jesus.

In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, especially in passages that speak to marriage, such as Ephesians 5, Colossians 3:18-19, and 1 Peter 3:1-7. Seek the Lord together with your husband in prayer, and ask Him to renew your love and commitment to one another. If your husband is not a believer, we urge you to pray for his salvation, for a marriage cannot be fully united if one is not walking with Christ. Remember, *"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Let Jesus be the third strand in your marriage, binding you together in His love. Stay steadfast in faith, and trust that God is able to restore and redeem what has been broken.

Please pray for my marriage, in Jesus name. As my husband was about to go outside to mow the lawn, I asked him if we still had our weed eater. He said “I don't care about weed eating, it's 100 degrees!” and walked away. It's not 100 and I only asked. I didn't ask him to do it. For years we've...
