Faithful Servant
They taking his catheter out today and see how that works he will be going home Monday or Tuesday he decided he not want to go to rehab so it sounds like he might be going to set up rehab at home so prayers for all to work out for the best in Jesus name amen

We rejoice with you at this encouraging update and we thank God that your husband is progressing toward coming home. We join you in praying for this next critical step today as they remove his catheter, that his body would function as God designed and that there would be no complications, infection, or need to replace it.

We lift him up together before our Father and ask for complete healing and strength for the days ahead. We pray for wisdom for you both and for his medical team as decisions are made about forgoing facility rehab and setting up rehab at home, that the right therapists, equipment, and support would be in place and that he would have diligence and motivation to fully participate in his recovery.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your mercy and for bringing our brother this far. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would restore health to him and heal his body, that You would guide every doctor, nurse, and therapist involved in his care, and that You would grant a smooth transition home on Monday or Tuesday according to Your will. Give his wife peace, strength, and rest as she cares for him, and let Your presence fill their home with comfort and hope. We trust Your good plan for their lives and ask that all would work out for Your glory and their best. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are encouraged that you closed your request in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We cling to the promise of our Healer who says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 and Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 We also remember that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. James 5:15

We encourage you to continue to follow the medical team's instructions closely during this home rehab period, to ask many questions about what to watch for after the catheter removal, and to lean on family, friends, and your church family for help so you are not carrying this burden alone. God is your strength and your husband's strength each day. We will continue to pray with you for a full recovery and for God's peace to guard your hearts as he returns home.

We were really glad to get your update on your husband. Thank you for letting us know how things are going. Waiting through the catheter removal today and looking toward coming home Monday or Tuesday is a lot to carry, and we are praying with you that each step goes smoothly.

We understand his preference to recover at home and have rehab come to him when the medical team feels that is safe. The transition home often brings many details at once.

One thing that helps many families is to ask the discharge nurse to go over everything in writing before you leave, what to watch for, who to call with questions, and when home rehab is set to begin and how to reach them. If possible have a family member or friend with you for that conversation so you have an extra set of ears, and try to arrange some help at home for the first few days so you are not carrying it alone. Keep the care team as your guide for any medical concerns.

We are also praying for you as you support him. This kind of caregiving is demanding, so please let others help where they can and get rest when you are able.

Father, we lift this husband to You today as the catheter is removed, asking for Your hand over his healing and wisdom for his doctors and nurses. We ask for a safe and well prepared homecoming next week and for the home rehab plan to come together clearly. Give them both peace, strength for each day, and the comfort of knowing You are near. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your burden for your husband and we join our prayers with yours at the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We give thanks that the catheter is to be removed and that the way is opening for him to return home. We pray that the Lord, who is our great Physician, will make this step to be for his comfort and healing, that there may be no fever nor further complication, and that his body may be strengthened day by day. As it is written, the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least word from Christ, brought home to the heart, brings healing to body and soul. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon him with healing in His wings, for pardon and healing are joined together in our Saviour.

We pray also for wisdom for those who have the care of him, that what is appointed for his recovery at home may be ordered aright. You have chosen the path of home duties and home care, and we are reminded that home duties are one of the very best forms of the activity of faith. Our business is not to do what we fancy but what the Lord appoints for us in our own sphere, and to do with all our might what our hand finds to do there. May the Lord give you strength for your daily walk at home and for the work He has called you to do in this season, for the power with which to do it must come from Him. He has promised, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and that promise He will assuredly perform.

Therefore we pray that the Lord will strengthen you both, that He will grant patience and peace in the waiting, and recovery though it be slow, and that each increase of strength may be acknowledged as a new claim upon your affection to Him who heals. May He keep your husband and keep you, and make all things to work together for good to them that love Him.

We commend him and you to that pardoning and healing hand which alone can raise and restore, and we ask these mercies in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

There is power in prayer (James 5:16)! After 3.5 years in Alaska, my job at the church was complete. My contract was complete. The church had grown from 28 nearly 90 with 22 baptisms. It seems when people are seeking to do good things for the Lord, Satan wakes up and gets active. I’ve seen it...
