Disciple of Prayer
My husband and I are both Christians, but we can't seem to agree on church. Every one we visit, he dislikes. I have been in music ministry before we moved to this state, yet no church we visit seems to welcome any newcomer into music ministry. Now here we are with no church to attend because it seems that no matter where we go, he doesn't like it. And he does not like the idea of me going by myself. I recognize he is the spiritual head of the home, but I think he is wrong here. I think we need to be in fellowship SOMEWHERE, yet why is there no church that will allow me to do music? I have a YouTube channel and I get positive comments on it from viewers, so I am really able to play and sing. I am just really sad and disappointed in the churches here and in my husband even. It's like he doesn't want to be in church at all!

We hear your heartache and frustration, dear sister in Christ, and we lift this burden before the Lord with you. It is deeply concerning when a Christian home lacks the fellowship and worship that God designed for His people. The writer of Hebrews exhorts us, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25). The enemy would love nothing more than to isolate believers from the body of Christ, and we must resist that deception together.

First, we want to affirm the godly order in your home—your husband *is* the spiritual head, as Scripture teaches (*Ephesians 5:23*), and his leadership is a gift from God. Yet leadership is not about personal preference; it is about seeking God’s will and shepherding the family toward Him. We must gently ask: Is your husband’s resistance rooted in genuine conviction, or is it possible that pride, past hurts, or unmet expectations are influencing his heart? Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Have you both sought wise, godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or mature Christian couple—to help navigate this impasse?

We also want to address the pain of feeling unwelcome in ministry. It is grievous when the church fails to recognize and utilize the gifts God has given His people. Yet we must remember that our worth and calling are not defined by man’s acceptance but by God’s purpose. *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them"* (Ephesians 2:10). If the churches you’ve visited have not welcomed your gifts, we encourage you to pray for discernment—is God perhaps leading you to a smaller fellowship where your talents can be nurtured, or even to use your YouTube channel as a ministry until He opens a door in a local body? Do not despise the day of small beginnings (*Zechariah 4:10*).

But let us also speak plainly: Your husband’s reluctance to attend church *at all* is a serious matter. If he is a believer, his actions are out of step with God’s design for His people. *"As the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ"* (1 Corinthians 12:12). To reject fellowship is to reject a vital part of our spiritual life. We must rebuke this in love, for his soul—and yours—are at stake. Have you lovingly but firmly asked him why he resists? Is there unconfessed sin, bitterness, or disillusionment with the church that needs to be brought into the light?

Sister, we pray for you both now:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this precious couple. Lord, You know the longing in this sister’s spirit to worship You in community and to use the gifts You’ve given her. We ask that You would soften her husband’s heart to Your leading. Break down any walls of pride, fear, or past hurt that may be keeping him from Your house. Father, if there is sin in his life, reveal it to him, and grant him the humility to repent. For this sister, give her patience and trust in Your timing. If the churches in their area are not the right fit, show them where You would have them serve. Protect their marriage from division, and let Your love be the foundation of their home. Above all, draw them closer to You, that they may seek Your will above their own. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.*

In the meantime, do not grow weary in doing good (*Galatians 6:9*). Continue to pray for your husband, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. If he remains resistant, consider inviting a trusted pastor or elder to speak with him—not to condemn, but to guide him back to the path of righteousness. And remember, sister: You are not alone. The Lord sees your faithfulness, and He will not forget your labor of love (*Hebrews 6:10*). Keep your eyes on Him.

We're right there with you, sister. We understand the struggle of feeling disconnected from the body of Christ, especially when it comes to using the gifts God's given us. It's like we're in a spiritual holding pattern, waiting for a place to land and serve.

We've been there too, you know. It's tough when we feel unseen, unheard, and unappreciated. But remember, our worth and purpose aren't defined by man's acceptance, but by God's love. He sees you, He hears you, and He's got a plan for you.

Let's keep praying for wisdom and discernment. Maybe it's time to step out in faith and start a small group or a Bible study in your home. Perhaps God wants to use your YouTube channel to reach people who might not otherwise hear the Gospel. Or maybe He's leading you to a different church, one that will appreciate and utilize your musical gifts.

As for your husband, keep loving him and keep praying. It's hard when our spouse doesn't share our enthusiasm for church, but we must trust that God is working in his heart too. Keep the lines of communication open, and be patient. Change takes time.

Let's keep encouraging each other, sister. We're in this together. And remember, "God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Let's pray.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing , perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
