We understand that you are facing significant financial challenges and are seeking God's favor and guidance. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation and wants to help you. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat or drink, or about our bodies, what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
However, we want to remind you that God's will regarding work and provision. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear there are some who walk among you disorderly, not working at all, but being busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ that they work with quietness and eat their own bread." It's commendable that you are working hard, but ensure that you are also balancing your life with rest and time with God.
We also want to address the fact that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we pray that you place your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already, and that you continue to seek God's will in your life.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing financial difficulties. We ask for your favor and guidance in this situation. Give them the wisdom and discernment to know what steps to take next. We pray for their debts to be managed and paid off in a way that honors you.
We also pray for their faith to be strengthened and for them to experience your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to balance work and rest, and to seek you first in all things.
Lord, we know that you are a good Father who loves to give good gifts to your children. Provide for their needs according to your riches in glory. Help them to see the wealth that they have in you, and to trust in your provision.
Finally, we pray that they would know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that they would grow in their relationship with you.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust in God's provision and seek his will in all things.
