Although, I do not know you name the Lord does and I lift you up this morning and I stand with you according to God's word that if you submit to the Lord, resist the enemy, he will flee and I ask the Lord to give you the stability and the courage to fight through the lust of the flesh! I encourage you to continue to run to the Lord 1st by asking for forgiveness and ask him to make you strong so you can resist....the flesh is weak but the spirit in you is willing and "greater is He that is within you than he that is within the world...those worldly pleasures...the Holy Spirit that dwells within you is going to help you but you have to resist all the urges and be accountable, too! Block your computer from looking at things that only feed the fleshly desires and ask for a friend you can trust to help guide you through the times you are feeling weak.
When you are weak then run from trouble into the arms of Jesus and into the counsel of the wisest godly person you know and ask them to pray for you!
Start doing it every day for 21 days and you will be well on your way to overcoming in this area!
The enemy will keep lying to you telling you that you must do the things you don't want to do but because right now your flesh is weak and because you keep failing in that area you feel condemned and give up in the fight when the next assault comes...but let me assure you that you can overcome this...and when you do fail...remember that you have an advocate (Jesus Christ) that you can call upon to help you and to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
The main thing is to keep getting back up even after you fall into sin...and keep walking in the spirit for the word of God says that if we walk in the spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh! So your answer lies in walking in the spirit daily by not allowing your eyes to see the things that are corrupt and by being accountable to someone you can trust who will not condemn you but will help you to remain steadfast and unmovable in your journey.
1 John 1: 9
New International Version
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Realize that it is not God that condemns you but the devil and each and every time he tells you what a sinner and mess up you are refuse to listen by submitting to God!
James 4: 7
Drawing Near to God
7Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.…
Don't get under condemnation because it will make you weaker than you are!
Romans 8: 1
No Condemnation in Christ
1Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.…
Don't get into condemning yourself because you play a part in submitting to God by walking in the spirit each day, every minute of the day and it is possible!
Galatians 5:16
Living by the Spirit
16But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.…
In other words, Keep your eyes only on Jesus by surrendering to the Lord and refusing to look upon those things of the world that draw you away! Don't let yourself get in compromising situations! You can take authority over your flesh and when the flesh begins to cry out...tell your flesh no and then surrender to God and resist! Make up you mind that you are not going to let your flesh man rule and begin to let the spirit man rule instead! Yes, it want be easy but it will get easier the more you practice walking in the spirit rather than the flesh! If you fail ....go through the steps that I have written out and don't get into condemnation and start over knowing that you are forgiven.
I am standing with you and believing with you that you are more than a conqueror and can win this battle you are facing! Don't give up! God has heard your cry and he will give you the strength to do what is necessary to overcome in this area! Nothing is too hard for God and with him on your side and other faithful men and women of God standing with you everything is going to be alright! Amen!
