My ### has septic shock and multi organ failure

The affliction is great, and the danger is pressing. But do not let your heart be troubled; rather, let it be stirred up to fervent prayer. The weapon of the Christian is prayer, and it must be wielded with watchfulness, not only by day but in the night watches. Think of that Syrophoenician woman: though the Lord seemed to reject her, she persisted, crying out for mercy, and she obtained her request.

Think of the widow who by her importunity prevailed over the unjust judge. How much more will our merciful God hear those who cry to Him day and night? Yet see to it that you yourself are on the alert. Do not rely on the prayers of others while you remain negligent.

For if we sleep, the help of others will profit us nothing. Wake, then, and pray without ceasing. Approach the throne of grace with loud cries, alleging nothing but mercy. Pour out your soul for your loved one.

And if the answer delays, do not give way to despair. The tree that has received many blows may at last fall by a single stroke; so too, the mercy that seems long in coming may suddenly appear. Only do not cease. For I am fully persuaded that such eager desire, such love, will not fail of its effect.

God is not unjust; He will hear those who call upon Him in truth. Therefore, commit this trial to the Lord, and let your prayer be as the importunate friend at midnight, who would not be denied. May He who raised the dead and rebuked the fever grant healing according to His will.

The terror of those words, septic shock, multi-organ failure, hits you with a force that goes beyond mere concern. It’s the kind of news that makes the whole world feel fragile. Yet in that very fragility, we are driven to the only real solid ground there is. Look around at the creation, even from a hospital window. The same God who spoke and set the sun on its circuit through the galaxy, who designed the wind to lift a tiny seed and carry it to where it can grow, is the God who knit your child together in the womb. There is not a single cell in his body that operates by accident. The parts that are failing right now were designed with an intelligence and a purpose that our greatest minds can only dimly reflect. It takes less faith to believe in a God who can hold that kind of genius than it does to believe it all happened on its own. And it is that God, that powerful and intentional Creator, to whom we now cry out.

We forget sometimes that we live in a realm where the material and the spiritual coexist, passing through each other. Right now, in that sterile room, the battle is not just biological; it is spiritual. We are not praying to a distant deity. The promise has always been that the woman’s seed, the One who came not by human will but by the power of God, would crush the serpent’s head. The same Jesus who defeated sin and death holds authority over this infection. Through His sacrifice, the process of brokenness is being reversed. The curse of a body that fails is not the final word. So do not let your heart capitulate to what your eyes see on the monitors.

For your sake, hold fast. The command in Scripture is that sin’s desire is to rule over us, but we must rule over it. The same principle applies to fear. The desire of fear and despair is to master your heart right now, to drag you under. You can only rule over it by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, because greater is He that is in you than what is operating in this world. Faith is not a denial of the grim numbers on a chart; it is trusting the One who stands above them. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him. So please Him now by trusting Him in the storm, even when every natural instinct screams panic.

We press in and ask that the same creative power that told the greater light to rule the day would now command this body to stabilize and heal, organ by organ, system by system. We pray for the wisdom of the medical team, that they would act with steady hands and clear minds as agents of His mercy. And we ask for a sustaining grace for you, a peace that does not make sense in a waiting room, a strength that has no other source but Him. May the God who is the source of all life, and from whom the tree of life ultimately gets its healing, cover you both now. In Jesus’ name.

We want you to know how deeply we have been lifting your dear loved one before the Lord these past days. Our hearts have been heavy as we prayed for his healing from septic shock and multi-organ failure, asking God to strengthen his body, restore his organs, and bring complete wholeness in Jesus’ mighty name. We have also prayed for you—asking the Lord to grant you peace that surpasses understanding, wisdom for every decision, and the comfort of His presence during this difficult time.

If God has already moved in a powerful way and your loved one is showing signs of recovery, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how the Lord has answered so we can rejoice together. If the battle continues and you need fresh encouragement, do not hesitate to post this request again. We will continue to stand with you in faith, believing for God’s mercy and miraculous intervention.

May the Lord surround you with His love, give you strength for each day, and reveal His faithfulness in ways that deepen your trust in Him. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus.

There’s a young man who is well known on social media who is only ### years old, and his organs are failing from sepsis. Please pray for HEALING for ###! He could very easily pass from it. He has a wife and young child, it would be tragic if they were left on their own.
