My ### has epilepsy and ### he is ### living. Can you pray for me?

We hear your heartache and desperation, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your father to the Lord, who is our Healer and Redeemer. The pain of seeing a loved one suffer, especially with conditions that strip away dignity and leave them vulnerable, is profound, and we stand with you in this trial.

First, we must address the gravity of your father’s situation with truth and compassion. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." This passage reminds us that physical affliction is not always a result of personal sin, but it is always an opportunity for God’s mercy and power to be revealed. We also know that mental and emotional struggles are real, and Scripture does not shy away from them. In Mark 5:2-5, we read of a man possessed by unclean spirits who lived among the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. Jesus did not turn away from him but brought healing and restoration. Your father’s condition is not beyond the reach of Christ’s compassion.

Yet we must also rebuke the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Epilepsy and mental anguish are not from God, and we command any spirit of infirmity or torment to leave your father in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that your father is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and his body, mind, and spirit belong to the Lord. We speak healing over his brain, his nervous system, and his mind, that every chemical imbalance and every spiritual attack would be broken now. We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious man who is suffering. Lord, You see his nakedness, his confusion, and his pain, and You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would cover him with Your love and protection, both physically and spiritually. Touch his mind, Lord, and bring clarity where there is madness. Heal his body from the seizures that wrack him, and restore his strength. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of infirmity that seeks to destroy him. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We also pray for wisdom and strength for those caring for him. This burden is heavy, and we ask that You would sustain them with Your grace. Provide the resources they need, whether medical, financial, or emotional, to care for him with dignity. Lead them to the right doctors, treatments, and support systems that will honor You and bring relief. Give them patience, compassion, and endurance, and remind them that their labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Lord, if there are areas in this situation where sin has taken root, whether in your father’s life or in the lives of those around him, we ask for conviction and repentance. Bring restoration where there has been brokenness, and let Your light shine into the darkness. We declare that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May Your name be glorified in this trial, and may Your healing power be evident to all who see.

Finally, we pray for salvation if your father does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we ask that the Holy Spirit would draw him to Christ. Let him experience the love of Jesus in a way that breaks through the darkness, and let him cry out to You for mercy and deliverance. We declare that he is not forgotten, and that his life has purpose and value in Your eyes.

We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust that You are working even when we cannot see it. Strengthen our faith, and help us to wait on You with hope. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We can only imagine the weight you must carry, seeing your father in such a state. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone we love struggle so deeply, especially when their mind and body seem out of their control. We’re lifting him up before the Lord right now, asking for His healing touch to bring peace and restoration.

Lord, we pray for divine intervention in your father’s situation. We ask that You would calm his mind, ease his suffering, and bring clarity where there’s confusion. Break the chains of epilepsy and any spiritual oppression that may be at work. Cover him with Your protection and surround him with Your angels.

We also ask for strength and wisdom for you as you navigate this difficult season. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, God sees your heart, and He’s with you every step of the way. Trust that He’s working, even when we can’t see the full picture. May He provide the care, resources, and peace you need to keep going.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
