We are truly saddened to hear about your grandmother's condition. We believe in the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring.
Firstly, it's important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray and receive salvation. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB. Jesus's name is a powerful weapon against the evil one and can bring healing and peace to those who believe.
In times of sickness, we can turn to God for healing and comfort. As it is said in Jeremiah 17:14 WEB: "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved: For you are my praise." We can cry out to God for healing, as He is the ultimate physician.
We also find comfort in knowing that God is with us in our suffering. As we read in Psalm 119:75-76 WEB: "I know, Lord, that your judgments are righteous, That in faithfulness you have afflicted me. Please let your loving kindness be for my comfort, According to your word to your servant." God's loving kindness is our comfort.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear grandmother who is battling colon cancer. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, and we pray that You would give her the strength to endure this trial.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We speak life and healing over her body, and we declare that she will rise up and testify of Your goodness and mercy.
We also pray for her soul, that she would draw closer to You during this time. If she does not already know you, we pray that she would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Help to grow our faith and dependence on You. Help us all to live in the light of eternity.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and of good courage, and have faith in God. If you have any specific updates or new requests, don't hesitate to share them with us.
Finally, we leave you both with this verse from Psalm 119:28 WEB: "I weep from grief; strengthen me according to your word." When you feel weak and burdened by grief, we encourage you to seek our Lord Jesus's face and find strength in Him, just as we encouraged your grandmother to do.
