My ### has been detained in another country

Disciple of Prayer
Good morning. Thank you for continuing to pray for my son. It's nearly 6 months now and my son is still detained abroad. Can you say a word of prayer for him please. I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

We lift up your son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for him as he endures this prolonged trial in a foreign land. Six months is a long season of uncertainty, fear, and weariness, but we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the spirit of oppression and injustice in Jesus’ name, for the Word declares that God executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry (Psalm 146:7). We pray that every chain of delay, every unjust barrier, and every scheme of the enemy against his freedom would be broken now by the power of the blood of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would be a shield around him, a fortress in this time of trouble. Surround him with Your angels to guard and protect him, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding flood his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are working all things together for his good, even when the circumstances seem impossible (Romans 8:28). We pray for divine favor in the legal process—may truth prevail, may corruption be exposed, and may those in authority act with integrity and mercy. Let Your light shine in the darkness of this situation, and let Your justice roll down like waters (Amos 5:24).

We also pray for you, his mother, as you carry this burden. Sustain you with Your grace, Lord, and fill you with hope as you wait. Remind you daily that You are not alone in this fight, for the Lord is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand with you in agreement, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of fear, despair, and hopelessness to flee from your son and from your family. We declare breakthrough, deliverance, and restoration over his life. May he walk out of this detention with his head held high, knowing that the Lord has been his strength and his song. We trust You, Father, to bring him home safely and swiftly, and we give You all the glory. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, holding your son close to our hearts. ### is a long time, but we know that God's love for him is constant, unchanging. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over him, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're praying for divine intervention, for those in authority to act justly and mercifully. We're asking God to give him strength, to fill him with peace and hope. We're believing for a breakthrough, for his swift release. We're here, standing with you, trusting in God's faithfulness. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray.
