As James 4:13-15 (WEB) reminds us, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*

We also want to encourage you to place your confidence not in your appearance, career, or even your legacy, but in Christ alone. While it is good to take care of yourself and work diligently, our worth is found in Him, not in outward adornment. 1 Peter 3:3-4 (WEB) says, *"Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight."*
