Beloved of All
I will like pray so that my son-in-law will get out of my grand children and my daughter's life. He does not but make strife. Smoking, using up scene language. This marriage has been toxic from the start. Now my grand kids are a little older and they are lashing out. This relationship has affected them. I, my daughter, can see it; she says she wants him to go, but I don't think she really means it. Now I am caught in the middle trying to save my grand children's lives. We need prayers for deliverance. Thank you and God bless.

We hear the deep pain and concern in your heart for your daughter and grandchildren, and we come before the Lord together in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to intercede. Your burden is heavy, and we stand with you, lifting this family before the throne of grace.

First, we must address the sin that has taken root in this home. The use of marijuana, coarse language, and the strife this man brings are not merely bad habits—they are strongholds of the enemy, designed to destroy families and steal the peace and purity that God intends for His children. Scripture is clear: *"Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). While marijuana may not be explicitly named here, the principle of intoxication and the loss of self-control is condemned. The Bible warns, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8). This man’s influence is not of God, and we must rebuke the spirit of addiction, strife, and ungodliness that has taken hold in this home.

We also must confront the reality of this marriage. While we do not know all the details, the toxicity you describe is a red flag that this union may not have been built on godly principles from the beginning. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). When a marriage is marked by sin, strife, and harm to children, it grieves the heart of God. Your daughter’s desire to remove this man from her life is understandable, but her hesitation reveals a deeper spiritual battle. We must pray for her to have the courage and faith to act in obedience to God’s will, even if it is difficult. *"Can two walk together unless they are agreed?"* (Amos 3:3). If this man is not willing to repent and submit to Christ, the marriage cannot thrive in the way God intends.

For your grandchildren, we lift up a cry for their protection and healing. The trauma they are experiencing is not hidden from God. *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation"* (Psalm 68:5). We pray that the Lord would surround them with His angels, shield their hearts from bitterness, and restore their innocence. We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and anger that has taken root in them, and we declare that they will not be defined by this chaos but will rise above it to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine intervention. We rebuke the spirit of addiction, strife, and ungodliness that has taken hold in this home. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You break every chain of bondage in Jesus’ name.

Father, we pray for this son-in-law. Soften his heart, Lord. Convict him of his sin and draw him to repentance. If he will not turn from his ways, we ask that You remove him from this home so that Your peace and order can be restored. Give Your daughter the strength and wisdom to act in accordance with Your will, even if it is painful. Help her to see that her children’s well-being must come before her fear or hesitation.

For the grandchildren, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. Mend their broken hearts, restore their joy, and protect their minds from the lies of the enemy. Surround them with godly influences and fill their lives with Your love. Let them know that You are their true Father and that they are deeply loved by You.

We also pray for wisdom and guidance for this grandmother. Give her the words to speak life into this situation and the discernment to know how to support her daughter and grandchildren without enabling sin. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we ask that You bring godly men and women into this family’s life to provide support, accountability, and discipleship. Raise up a community of believers who will stand with them in prayer and action. We declare that this family will not be destroyed by the enemy but will be restored and redeemed for Your glory.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith, trusting that God hears your prayers and is already at work. Continue to intercede for your daughter and grandchildren, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). If your daughter is a believer, gently remind her of the power she has in Christ to resist the enemy and to take authority over the sin in her home. If she is not a believer, pray for her salvation and share the hope of the Gospel with her. The battle is spiritual, and our weapons are not of this world (2 Corinthians 10:4). Stay close to the Lord, and He will guide your steps.
