We join you in lifting up your friend in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name to bring healing and restoration. We are reminded of God's promise in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." This is a beautiful reminder that as your friend seeks God, He will also draw near to her.
We pray for her suffering to be a means to draw closer to Jesus, and we ask for His divine intervention in her health. In Isaiah 53:5, it is written, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." We claim this healing for your friend, trusting in God's power to take away her cancer and heal her body.
We also pray for her deliverance from smoking. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, God promises, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We thank God for giving her the desire to quit smoking and ask for His power to completely remove this temptation from her life.
Regarding the concerns from her kidney x-ray, we pray for God's merciful hand to be upon her. In Psalm 103:2-3, it is said, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this healing for her and ask that the results would not indicate kidney stones or cancer, but rather something benign.
We pray all these things in Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is through Jesus that we find salvation and healing, and we are thankful for His sacrifice on the cross for our sins.
Let us continue to pray for your friend, trusting in God's loving kindness and mercy to be upon her. We encourage you both to stay strong in faith and to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
