My friend is in a tough spot

Please pray for the parents and baby in this unplanned pregnancy.

One of my best friends came to me very early this morning to confess that a girl he had dated briefly and broken up with a month ago has just informed him that they are pregnant.

God has already changed her heart from her initial decision for an abortion; but now that she has decided to keep the baby, my friend is increasingly worried about his child and the mother, who has already been drunk and possibly trying to end her life during the pregnancy, as well as declining medical attention. He and the mother do not get along well at this time, and he's not sure how he can best take care of his son/daughter in this situation.

Please pray for all three souls, that they may turn to God and be touched by his mercy and healing, that the parents may turn from their selfish patterns for the welfare of the child, and that they may be eager and wise to follow His path.

Also, give thanks that so far the baby's life has been protected, and praise God for close friendships, which lift us up in God's love!
