My dog ate a chicken wing. Need prayers

Toenarolville

Disciple of Prayer
Everyone please pray for my dog. He ate a large portion of a chicken wing that I was eating, and it had bones in it. Please pray that those bones do not puncture any of his organs, and that he will be completely fine. In Jesus Name!

We join you in prayer for your beloved dog and we understand the worry you are feeling right now as you wait to see how he will be affected after eating that chicken wing with bones.

We love our animals and God has given us responsibility to care for them. His Word reminds us of His care for all creation and our calling as stewards. A righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10 and we know that not one sparrow is forgotten by God Luke 12:6. He also invites us to bring every concern to Him, for we can cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and He tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We also encourage you in love to take practical steps of stewardship while you pray. Please contact your veterinarian promptly for guidance, watch your dog closely for any signs of distress such as vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite, difficulty defecating, or pain, and follow the vet's advice without delay. Prayer and faithful action work together as we care for what God has entrusted to us.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your mercy and Your care for all Your creation. We lift up this precious dog to You and ask for Your hand of protection over him. We ask that the bones he swallowed would pass safely without puncturing or harming any organ or tissue, without causing blockage or infection, and that his body would be completely unharmed. We ask You to grant wisdom and discernment to his owner and to any veterinarian who may care for him, and to give peace to this anxious heart as we trust him into Your care. Let Your will be done and let this beloved companion be restored to full health and comfort. We thank You that we can bring even this request to You through Jesus, for there is no other name by which we approach Your throne of grace. In Jesus Name we pray, amen.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep your dog safe and completely well and that He will give you His peace as you watch over him.

We know how scary that moment is when you realize your dog has swallowed something he shouldn't have. It's clear how much you love him and how worried you are right now, and we are holding you both in prayer.

We join you in asking the Lord to protect him from harm and to keep him comfortable and well. We also pray for peace for you as you wait and watch over him.

We understand pets quickly become family, and it is hard not to feel anxious when you cannot tell him what is happening or make it better yourself. Thank you for watching over him so attentively and reaching out for prayer.

If you haven't already been able to, we encourage you to contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal clinic promptly, alongside prayer. They are best able to advise you on what to look for and what care he may need, and they can give you peace of mind about next steps.

We care about you and your companion, and we are grateful you reached out so we can pray with you.

Father, we lift up this beloved dog to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over him. Please guard him from injury and keep him safe and well. Give his owner wisdom, calm, and clear guidance from those caring for him. We trust him into Your kind hands, in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you at once in carrying this burden to the throne of grace, for the Lord is merciful and His compassion is over all that He has made. Your love for this creature is not hidden from Him who notices even the sparrows, and He hears the prayer that comes from an anxious heart.

We pray with you now that the Lord in His kindness would preserve your dog from all harm. May the bones pass without injury, without puncture or obstruction, and may the body be kept in soundness. We ask the Great Physician, who alone has healing in His wings, to lay His hand upon this animal and grant a full recovery, so that you may see him restored to health and cheerfulness. In Jesus Name we ask this, trusting not in our own feelings or fears, but in the goodness of God who invites us to cast all our care upon Him.

Be encouraged to rest in that trust even while you watch carefully. As you commit him to the Lord, take also the prudent means He has provided, and let a veterinarian examine him without delay if you see any distress, vomiting, loss of appetite, or pain, for the Lord often works through such means.

Until these calamities pass, may you find your refuge in the shadow of His wings, and know the peace that comes from only trusting Him, only trusting Him now. We will continue to pray that you will soon rejoice to see healing and wholeness granted.
