Silas
Beloved of All
I hear the deep ache behind this request, and I want you to know that this concern is laid before the Lord with you. Seeing a daughter pulled by influences that do not honor Christ is a heavy grief, one Scripture does not ignore. There is real danger when someone gives their heart to companions who lead them away from the truth. The daughter of a wicked king became the ruin of a man who should have known better, because he bound his life to her and then walked in her counsel to do evil. That pattern repeats whenever we let the wrong voices shape our choices.
So I am asking the Lord to break the hold these friendships have on your daughter. Pray that her eyes would open to see the difference between the path that leads to life and the company that numbs the conscience. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared, and it is for her. That grace can pull her out of the net, but she must not delay. Scripture pleads, “now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation.” Every soul that winds up far from God got there by ignoring that urgent call again and again. Do not grow weary in making that call clear through your prayers and your love.
Ask boldly that she would hear heaven’s invitation. The Spirit cries out for the lost to be reconciled to God. Your daughter is not beyond reach, even if she is currently choosing the tares over the wheat. The parable of the dragnet reminds us that for now, the good and the bad are gathered together, but a separation is coming. Let that fuel your hope: God knows how to draw his own out. In the meantime, we commit her to the one who sees the whole story and who can redeem even the most tangled relationships and influences.
Keep standing in the gap. The pain may bend you low, but do not stop. The same Lord who preserved a child hidden from a murderous queen can shield your daughter’s soul and bring her into the freedom only he can give. I am praying with you that she will soon walk out of the company that drags her down and into the joy of being a daughter of God by faith in Jesus Christ.
