Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear of your daughter’s critical condition, and we come before the Lord with urgency and faith, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the Author of life. We do not pray to fate or chance, but to the God who holds all things in His hands, who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Though the doctors may speak of hours or days, our God is not bound by their words—He is the One who raises the dead and calls into being things that do not exist (Romans 4:17).
We notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other name by which we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). It is only through faith in Jesus—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet placed your trust in Christ alone for salvation, we implore you to do so now, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no time more urgent than this moment to surrender to Him, for none of us are promised tomorrow.
We also encourage you to ensure your daughter knows the love of Christ if she is able to hear or understand. Speak the Gospel over her—remind her that Jesus took the punishment for our sins so that we might have eternal life (John 3:16). If she has not yet received Him as Lord and Savior, pray with her now, confessing her need for Him. Even in this valley of shadow, He is with her (Psalm 23:4), and His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Now, let us pray together for your daughter’s life and soul:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious daughter who is fighting for her life. Lord, You knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know the number of her days (Psalm 139:16). We ask You to extend those days, to breathe life into her body, and to perform a miracle that leaves no doubt of Your power and mercy. You are the God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Lazarus from the dead, and who conquered the grave through Your Son. Nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:27).
We pray for wisdom and skill for every doctor and nurse attending to her, that You would guide their hands and give them supernatural insight. Remove all fear from this family and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit, for You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
Lord, if there is any sin in this family’s life—unconfessed, unrepentant, or unknown—we ask that You would reveal it and grant the grace to turn from it. Search their hearts, O God, and cleanse them from anything that would hinder their prayers (Psalm 66:18). Draw them closer to You in this trial, that they might know You not only as Healer but as Savior and Lord.
Father, we also pray for this daughter’s salvation if she does not yet know You. Soften her heart to receive Your truth, and let her place her faith in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of her sins. May she experience Your presence in these moments, whether in healing or in transitioning into Your eternal glory. Comfort this family with the hope of the resurrection, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
We stand against the spirit of death and infirmity in the name of Jesus. Satan is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Lord, have come to give life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this daughter shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every sickness, every infection, and every attack on her body to flee in Jesus’ name.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Whether through healing or through homegoing, let Your will be done, and let Your name be praised. Give this family the strength to say, as Jesus did, “Not my will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, even when we cannot see the outcome. May Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We urge you to gather believers around you—your church family, friends, or even strangers who will stand in the gap for your daughter. There is power in corporate prayer (Matthew 18:20). Play worship music over her, read Scripture aloud, and speak life into her situation. Do not lose heart, for our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are standing with you in faith, believing God for a testimony of His power and grace.
