We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family and these precious children to Him in prayer. Father, we know that You see each one of them and love them deeply. You have promised in Your Word that You will never leave nor forsake us, and we cling to that promise today.
First, we pray for your grandson who is struggling with hyperactivity in the classroom. Lord, we ask that You would calm his mind and body, helping him to focus and retain what he is learning. We know that You are the God of peace, and we ask that You would fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant him the ability to pass his test next week and move on to first grade. We pray for his tutors, that You would give them wisdom and patience as they work with him. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7)
We also lift up your oldest grandson who is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum. Father, we ask that You would give him understanding and ways to communicate his needs and desires. We pray for breakthroughs in his development and for those who care for him to have wisdom and compassion. Lord, we know that You have a plan and purpose for his life, and we ask that You would reveal that to him and to those who love him. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
For your one-year-old grandson, we pray for his retention in reading. Lord, we ask that You would open his mind to understand and remember what he is learning. We pray that he would continue to be a good student and that You would bless his efforts. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)
We also pray for you, dear mother and grandmother, that You would have strength and wisdom as you care for these children. We know that it can be overwhelming at times, but we pray that You would find rest and peace in the Lord. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or distraction that may be affecting these children and their learning. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them. We pray that they would grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52)
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in You, Lord, and we give You all the glory. Amen.
